I will be a star-crossed defender as long as I live. It’s no Golden Hour, but it was never going to be, and it’s just such a natural progression from that album sonically and even thematically (although that stemmed from her divorce, of course). “justified” is a certified bop and one of my favorites from the album.

It really sucked to see “Brother the Cloud” and “Goodbye Mr. Blue” to leave as well. </3

Still one of my favorites of the year, but still misses my top 10.

54. St. Paul & The Broken Bones - The Last Dance
Ultra cool retro vibe. This missing the top 30 doesn't even make sense.

53. The Black keyes - Wild Child
Overhated for no reason. Some peeps just can't handle catchy melodic guitar jams.

52. Portugal. The Man - What, Me Worry?
Sounded a lot better on this list of songs, but still nothing I would put my party rock stamp on.

50. Brandi Carlile F/Lucious - You and Me On The Rock
Not bad. reminds me of Netflix's 'The Ranch" soundtrack music.

49. Madison Cunningham - The Hospital
Not too familiar with some of these singers, so I concentrate manily on the music. Particularly the guitars. This one kinda reminded me of Sheryl Crow's "If It Makes You Happy" and Tom Petty's "Mary Jane's Last Dance".

48. Kings of LEON - Time In Disguise
I sense a Backlash on some of the more established acts on the charts. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Keyes and now Kings of Leon. I also think this should have been a bigger hit on AAA.

47. Foo Fighters - Love Dies Young
I get that it's a little too hard rock for what some might consider AAA, but it's still one of the best songs of the year.

46. Eddie Vedder - Brother On The Cloud
This overstayed.

45. Kacey Musgraves - Justified
Nice pleasant little song. A little higher would have been better.

44. Father John Misty - Goodbye Mr. Blue
You wanna keep me out of your home? Put put Father John Misty's greatest hits on the turntable. 'nuff said.

43. Leon Bridges - Steam
This was passable, but I got no steam from it.. The other one was slightly better. I prefer his 2015 1960's sounding material a whole lot more.

42. Band Of Horses - Warning Signs
Falls where it should. catchy and enjoyable.

41. Charly Crocket - I'm just a Clown
This wasn't so terrible. I'm not a big fan of Country-Soul.

Problems - Neal Francis
I remember like this one. Late 70's ,early 80's radio pop feel to it . A little Bay City Rollers anyone or maybe some CHips soundtrack muic.I can see Erik Estrada tripping the rollerrink fantastic with a blonde hottie. easy top 40 for me.

Blood on the Tracks - Marcus King
Cool guitar jam. Not a fan of this vocals tho.

Tippa My Tongue - Red Hot Chili Peppers
(sigh) why even bother? I would have slotted this one in my top 20 and the rest of yous in the 70's. Am I right?

A Nocturnal Heresy - Ondara
Vocals very near to Tracey Chapman tones. No thanks.

The Outside - Twenty One Pilots
I probably didn't give this song a fighting chance when it came out. It isn't bad at all. It rides a bassline a usually groove to.

Change - The War on Drugs
This band has some pretty cool 80's guitars riffs.

Run Away - Jocelyn & Chris Arndt
I remember like this one too. Easy memorable melody. I can almost bet my life I would have given it the highest rank?

I'll Call You Mine - Girl in Red
Decent song, but also one I could sacrifice to boost some of my favorite AAA only charting songs.

Soul Sweet Song - Tedeschi Trucks Band
Not too terrible for "the Ranch" soundtrack.

Big Time - Angel Olsen
This one really has some strong Country vibes. Would put it high on a Country music based list, but not too high on this list.
