I feel like this is a major step up from Now. Pretty Liar, Brand New, and Inhale/Exhale Air are all very instant with me. Excited to listen to this more.
They picked the wrong focus track though. Best Friend is cute but Giddy Up is connecting well and Pretty Liar is a bop.

I didn’t like the production and the way she sings on this album.

Loving the album. I agree that it's a step up from Now (which I enjoyed) and we can hear how much fun she had making it. It just feels fresh and she brought out the bops.
Also agree with the wrong focus track being chosen; Pretty Liar was right there!

I’ve already listened to this more than, “Now,” (although I still adore “Life’s About To Get Good,”). While this doesn’t match COO or TWIM (or even Up!) this is a fantastic album. And let’s be honest, it would be pretty much impossible to top Shania in her prime.
Pretty Liar, Inhale/Exhale AIR, Best Friend are the stands outs for me of the songs not previously released. So happy for Shania.

My two complaints about the album are the short songs and the short tracklist. I know short songs are the thing now because of streaming but I will never get used to it and I strongly dislike it. Also, for a while there Shania was known for releasing long albums such as Come on Over (16 songs) and Up! (19 songs) and so twelve does not feel long enough. My Target exclusive album should arrive sometime next week so that's still two extra songs but I still want more to make up for lost time.
Other than those two things though - I absolutely love this album. I hope it does well for her and I cannot wait to see what comes next.

From someone who has been a diehard, NOW, was a refreshing take on a painful experience. I loved it! I didn’t think it could be topped. Queen Of Me sees Shania return to her female empowerment songs with sass and famous tongue-in-cheek delivery.
Highlights for me (in order): Queen Of Me Pretty Liar Number One Done & Dusted (Target Exclusive) On Three (Target Exclusive) Best Friend Inhale/Exhale AIR Got It Good Brand New Giddy Up! The Hardest Stone Waking Up Dreaming Last Day Of Summer Not Just a Girl
Never did I expect to hear a Dave Cobb produced Shania song! The Target bonus tracks should’ve been part of the standard album.
As a friend of mine said, “I could see Mutt sitting back and being proud of her on this album!” I agree. Jumping in…on three!

Overall I quite enjoy this, it’s more cohesive than ‘Now’ though I think I liked the highs of that album more.
This just sounds fun which is so great to hear! Given everything her voic has gone through I do like a lot of the new sound it has. She’s obviously crafted these songs to fit her new limitations.
I would like one very country album from her before she eventually retires, think something like Tanya Tucker’s last album.

Only gave it one listen so far, but I'm pleased with it! Nothing will ever touch Shania at her prime, but I'm thankful she's still able to make music for us and deliver some solid bops.

My thoughts exactly. I've only had a chance to hear it once so far, but I really like it. She'll never again reach the highs of The Woman In Me/ Come On Over (but honestly, who could?), but this is a really solid album. It's quite short, so I wish the bonus tracks were on the regular album (I thought the days of store exclusives were over, but I guess not). I would like to see her label try to at least push something to country radio. I doubt she'd have a massive hit, but I really think she has enough momentum/goodwill to get at least an "Every Girl In This Town" type of hit.

Not much stood out on first listen except Pretty Liar, but everything else sounded solid. Unlike other people I'm not convinced I'll like it more than Now

"Giddy Up!" is the radio single in Canadian country radio, and debut at #47 on the chart with 12 total adds this week. This is her first appearance on the chart since "Life's About to Get Good" in 2017.

This is her first appearance on the chart since "Life's About to Get Good" in 2017. At least she's getting some radio play somewhere! Really a missed opportunity if they don't at least try a push for "Giddy Up!" down here as well. If "We Got Something They Don't" -- which didn't feel like a radio hit at all -- could make it to the 40s from Now, then I think that one could surely do at least about as well.

Absolutely love this album. It’s not the 90s magic but it doesn’t have to be; this record is still quintessential Shania. Only she would’ve ever dropped an album like this. I hope this is able to do some damage for her somehow. I especially am in love with “Pretty Liar,” my jaw DROPPED during the chorus (never expected Shania Twain to be saying the word “f**k” in a song lmao) and that one suggestive line in the bridge.
Also gonna echo the sentiment that “Best Friend” was the LAST song they should’ve chosen as the focus track. “Pretty Liar,” “Brand New,” and “Giddy Up!” were all right there!!!

"Giddy Up" cracks the top 20 on AC radio this week. I really don't know why they aren't at least trying with country radio.

Queen of Me (Royal Edition) out now. I like the new songs just as much as the Target bonus tracks so she honestly could’ve given us another 16-track album to begin with.
13. Bone Dry 14. Wanted Man 15. Inhale/Exhale AIR feat. BRELAND 16. Queen of Me (Acoustic) 17. Giddy Up! (Malibu Babie Remix)
