Observations:
Spring cleaning came early to the countdown this week as there was a MEGA PURGE!!! Seven songs said good bye [four of them went top four or higher during their chart run] giving us a lot of new music.
This week's countdown was weird in that only two songs [both from Taylor Swift] dropped positions from previous weeks, everything else was either stalled, new or climbing.
Sam Smith's current single Gimme bombed only lasting two weeks on this survey. But he bounced back releasing the fourth single from his current album I’m Not Here To Make Friends.
The new single from The 1975 sounds very similar to their 2020 single If You're Too shy.
Ava Max's Weapons was the highest climber of the week.
A twelve year old song from Lady Gaga's Born This Way album was this week's highest debut.
After being stuck in the 'teens' the majority of its chart run, Avril Lavigne's I'm a Mess finally showed signs of life. Is the public at large finally realizing how good this song actually is?
Any one notice that Miley Cyrus' Flowers samples the melody of Gloria Gaynor's 1978 hit I Will Survive?
Looks like the Tik Tok Top Five segment has been dropped.
And Meghan Trainor's Made You Look spends a second week at number one after fending off Miley Cyrus' and Taylor Swift's latest singles.
