Ariana Grande's sixth studio album, Positions, was released on October 30, 2020. Positions is a pop album with R&B influences. The album peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200 and spawned 3 singles (positions, 34+35, pov). A deluxe version of the album was eventually released with 5 additional songs.

I maintain that "West Side" is one of the best she's ever recorded.

I'm just not crazy about the R&B lite sound she (and Justin Bieber) keeps trying to deliver. If you're gonna do R&B, then do freaking R&B, not this watered down mess. Not to mention, her vocals shine in more traditional R&B arrangements. It's why "My Hair" and "Love Language" are the only songs I really revisit on this. Everything else is perfectly mid and pleasant (and quite frankly uninspired and soulless). In terms of the singles, "Positions" definitely holds up the best.
