I am kind of scared this might be another Is It Over Now situation with the way the gains have shot up this week.

i am thinking that as well since the other metrics are not good enough to be a multi week #1 song.

If "Feather" gets to #1 just in time for Sunday, then starts to free fall with "Lovin On Me" coming back at #1 the following week, that would just be insane.

But it would be nice seeing "Feather" get to #1. Would this be Sabrina's first #1 on pop radio? How far did "Nonsense" go - as I did love that one from her.

It is her first #1 on Pop! "Nonsense" was her second highest, and got to #10. All of her other songs on Pop have only gotten to the #21-30 range, or lower in a couple cases.

Tbh, at this point I would be satisfied even if this just got one week with a published #1 peak. Of course, I'd love it could be a multi-week #1, but this far exceeded my wildest dreams of what this song would do here (with some of those early updates, I thought this might only peak in the top 20), so I'm happy with whatever we get at this point as long as she gets a published #1. She's been trying on Pop since 2017 so it's incredible to see her finally seeing this level of success!

Ah thank you for answering! I'm glad that "Nonsense" got to Top 10 though it felt like a bigger hit here as it was on the radio all the time in my area, lol. But this is amazing for her to finally get her first #1 hit here.

My main worry is that this will never get much higher on the Hot 100 this way. If it peaked at number 3 or 4 but spent a few weeks there, then that would have allowed for enough time for it to catch up on HAC to eventually snag a top 20 peak on the Hot 100 despite streaming having peaked much earlier (kind of like what happened with Ava Max's Kings & Queens back in 2020). If it goes number one this week only to be out of the top 10 in 2 or 3 weeks, then it will become infinitely harder for it to get that high on the Hot 100.

If I'm not wrong, Sabrina already holds the records for the highest-peaking pop radio hit that never made the Hot 100 (Almost Love) and the pop radio top ten hit with the lowest peak on the Hot 100 (Nonsense); I don't want her to break the record for the lowest-peaking pop radio number one as well

Funnily enough I was going by the thread you posted on ATRL several years ago where you mentioned the lowest peaking pop radio 'hits' on the Hot 100 for the Almost Love mention, glad you further clarified it

As mentioned above, it's Falling by Trevor Daniel which peaked at number 17 on the Hot 100 despite peaking at number one on pop radio.

Tate McRae's You Broke Me First also did the same thing by going number one at pop radio with a number 17 peak on the Hot 100, but it never topped the Billboard pop radio chart, only the Mediabase one.

A bunch of non-number ones with similar pop radio and Hot 100 performances as Feather include Close To Me by Ellie Goulding et al. (#2 pop radio, #24 Hot 100), Put Your Records On by Ritt Momney (#3 pop radio, #30 Hot 100), and POV by Ariana Grande (#3 pop radio, #27 Hot 100).
