Soulsista doing the closeness I noticed that you have singingrulebritannia 58 for both Ditty and Born And Raised In Compton, so not sure which one of those is correct, or if one of them was a number off or something.

I havenβt checked to see if there were any other doubles yet or not, I only noticed that one cause it was right next to each other. But I think if Iβm not mistaking, 75 and 74 switched cause of it (I didnβt update it in the closeness though but I donβt think the order of closeness would change regardless)
Also dremolus had it ranked 48 double check that in case you didnβt switch their ranks by accident and that he actually had it 58, and then if thatβs the case then the results are still the same

And done. Because of my error 75 and 74 are now switched (Call Me D-Nice is 75, Born And Raised In Compton is 74).

70. Men In Black - Will Smith"Men In Black" was the Will's debut solo single, from the soundtrack to the movie of the same name in which he starred alongside Tommy Lee Jones. Built on a sample of Patrice Rushen's "Forget Me Nots" and featuring vocals by Coko of SWV, the song was an international smash, topping the charts in 10 countries and hitting the Top 10 in many more. Due to Billboard rules at the time "Men In Black" was ineligble to chart on the Hot 100, but did top the rhythmic and Hot 100 airplay charts and also peaked at #2 on the Mainstream Top 40 chart and #9 on the R&B airplay chart. It also won a Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance. 69. Deja Vu (Uptown Baby) - Lord Tariq & Peter GunzFormed in The Bronx, Lord Tariq (Sean Hamilton) and Peter Gunz (Peter Pankey) were originally known as The Gunrunners. In 1997 they released their debut single "Deja Vu (Uptown Baby)", paying homage to their hometown. It topped the rap chart and peaked at #4 on the R&B chart and #9 on the Hot 100. The song was built on a sample of Steely Dan's "Black Cow", and in exchange Steely Dan received all publishing royalties and a $115,000 advance payment. In addition, Walter Becker and Donald Fagen were given sole songwriting credit. The song's intro is a sample of "Amores Como El Nuestro" by Jerry Rivera. The duo broke up in 1999 without releasing another album. Peter Gunz would later on appear on Love And Hip Hop, and in 2020 became the new host of Cheaters. 68. Get Money - Junior M.A.F.I.A.Junior M.A.F.I.A. (the backronym standing for Masters At Finding Intelligent Attitudes) was formed in Brooklyn by The Notorious B.I.G. It consisted of Lil' Cease (James Lloyd), Lil Kim (Kimberly Jones), Larceny, Trife, Chico Del Vecc, Nino Brown, Bugsy, Capone, and MC Klepto. They released their debut album Conspiracy in 1995. "Get Money", the album's third single, hit #1 on the rap chart, #4 on the R&B chart, and #17 on the Hot 100, and featured Biggie. The orignal version samples "You Can't Turn Me Away" by Sylvia Striplin, while the Gettin' Money remix samples "Don't Look Any Further" by Dennis Edwards and Siedah Garrett. I wouldβve had Will much lower, but how can I hold anything against the Men In Black theme?

"Bling Bling" was definitely too high. "Men In Black" being this low doesn't surprise me, but I wish it would've gone a bit farther. I probably would have had it in my top 20.

67. Down With The King - Run-DMC"Down With The King" was the lead single from Run-DMC's 1993 album of the same name. Produced by Pete Rock, who was featured on the song with CL Smooth, it topped the rap chart and peaked at #9 on the R&B chart and #21 on the Hot 100, their biggest hit on the latter chart since "Walk This Way" seven years earlier. Samples "Where Do I Go" by James Rado and Run-DMC's earlier hit "Run's House", and contains an interpolation of "Sucker M.C.'s". Jam Master Jay was shot and killed outside his Queens recording studio in 2002. Following the murder, Run-DMC officially announced that they were disbanding. Jay's murder remained unsolved for nearly two decades, until two men were arrested in connection with the crime. 66. Money Ain't a Thang - Jermaine Dupri feat. Jay-ZBorn in Asheville, North Carolina, Jermaine Dupri Mauldin got his start as a dancer for Whodini when he was just 12 years old. He later produced his first act Silk Tymes Leather and discovered Kris Kross. He then founded his own label So So Def, signing acts like Xscape, Da Brat, Jagged Edge, and Lil Bow Wow. In 1998 he released his debut album Life In 1472. The album's second single "Money Ain't a Thang", peaked at #28 on the rap chart and #10 on the R&B chart. Also featuring Jay-Z, it samples Steve Arrington's "Weak At The Knees" and was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap Performance By a Duo Or Group. Fun fact: Jermaine's father Michael Mauldin was a former Senior VP at Columbia and was president of Columbia's Black Music Division. I can't be mad at the last few selections, especially when I see who is in the remaining 70.
I checked the credits to Father MC's "I'll Do 4 U" last week and saw that Dave Hollister was credited background vocals alongside Mary. Either it was a misprint or his vocals are buried way underneath Mary's. And Mary was singing her heart out on the album version.

Magoo's verses on the uncensored version to "Up Jumps Da Boogie" are wild as f**k. lol. I love Aaliyah's vocals on the hook. And Missy has the catchiest verses.
