All right. so last year Kelly said there might be times or days that we would hear some unreleased songs. I know Not Today, Addicted, Whyyawannabringmedown are all released but she has never sang Not Today live until last week. Do we think weβre going to get Donβt, Anymore, Bleed for Me, etc on Kellyoke soon or what exactly was she referring to when she said that last year?

We are so blessed she is giving us a Whyyawannabringmedown performance! Hope she kills it tbh.

Really thought this was going to be Troye's "Bloom" lol. Not familiar with the cover, but she sounds sublime.

This is where we all have to be proactive on TwitterX and request unreleased songs by tagging @ KellyClarksonTV and @ jasonhalbert. As of now, around 10 requests were taken by me! I'm aware that the probability is high other people also requested Unwritten, but I'm 100% sure only I requested the Charmed theme song lmao and Alice Merton's No Roots! and it worked. If y'all wanna be heard -> tweet!XYZ! I requested Bleed For Me, Don't, Racehorse, Song To You and I'm Not The Only One :)

I thought this project was her own Sirius radio channel. Another project was scrapped? That's a bummer.

Next week! Monday: "Two Story House" (this is a re-run due to Memorial Day) Tuesday: "Babylon" Wednesday: "On My Mind" DUET WITH PATTI LABELLE (!!!)(Edit: Not sure, but there may be a typo on Zap2It, because I assume they meant "On My Own" [Patti's song w/ Michael Bolton]?) Thursday: "Whyyawannabringmedown" Friday: "Come Rain or Come Shine" (And tomorrow's performance of "Breakeven" is indeed a Kellyoke classic, so she must have been sick the day of filming since the episode itself is new.) Looks like Tuesday is now "To Make You Feel My Love" which she dueted with Ben Platt for on the show back in season 1 (or 2?). He is listed as a guest, so they're either singing it again (this feels unlikely to me) or just airing it as a Kellyoke Classic in case she was sick.

She didn't mention being under the weather, so I'm kinda surprised they didn't sing something new. He has an album out this week... would have been great promo to have dueted on the single or whatever it is they're pushing.
Anyways, here's the performance in HD since it's been off her channel for quite some time now.

Hmmmm.. well at 5PM they uploaded the entire Patti interview, but not the performance. Must be something with getting it cleared for online usage (or they accidentally uploaded the videos out of order). I watched it live and to be fair, it was really more Patti ft. Kelly as backup, but I'm not entirely surprised lol. She got a few good licks in here and there at least!
Next week!
Monday: "Beautiful Disaster" Tuesday: "I Will Wait" Wednesday: "Blaze of Glory" Thursday: TBA Friday: TBA

Perfect. No notes.
Love the pride looking screencap is that a first or do I have terrible memory?

Speechless! I think she gets something confident to do high notes! I love this live version more than album track! Itβs perfect and second to none in vocal. #KellyRocks

That is so much better than the album version as per usual. Not one of my favorites from that album admittedly and wouldn't have been my first choice if she was going to do something from AIEW, but it was still nice.

I know she wasn't ready to release C hemistry sooner but I fear it will become a norm for her to take years (4+) to release a new album. I hope that doesn't become the case. I really don't expect a new album for a very long time. Her music career has taken a backseat to the talk show which is now her main priority. And given the fact that she's said multiple times she quit touring we'll probably only get these one off shows or a Vegas residency when she does release new music. Honestly, if it weren't for the talk show she'd be with her kids in Montana, lol. I'm glad we still get new content from the talk show though and have the Olympics to look forward to. Fingers crossed for a Kellyoke 2.0 EP at some point too. All right. so last year Kelly said there might be times or days that we would hear some unreleased songs. me - or it sounds like the live version from when she was going round coffee shops etc. - is heavily sampled in this new song by rapper and Kelly's labelmate Roddy Rich.
Thought that was kinda cool.

Not sure if this has been posted-- really lovely vocals on this, not a huge fan of the song but her voice is gorgeous as ever.

Fingers crossed for a Kellyoke 2.0 EP at some point too. Hmmmm. We've talked quite a bit about where Kelly would be commercially if TKCS wasn't a thing. But if TKCS wasn't a thing, do we really think she would retire and go live in Montana full time? Or would we be getting albums more frequently? I'm inclined to believe there is some truth to the idea that we would be getting albums more frequently, at least every 2-3 years like we were before instead of every 5-6 years (not counting Christmas or Kellyoke albums) like we have in recent years. Now, do not misunderstand me. All I'm saying is that I do think it's a fair argument that TKCS is delaying new music. And to me, that's fine! But I see where people are coming from who would prefer she not do TKCS and focus more on releasing new music more frequently. And I think if not for TKCS, she would be releasing music more frequently. But let's take a more in-depth look. I think back to The Meaning of Life era, which is the only "real" point of comparison I think is appropriate for this conversation given that she was notably unhappy with RCA's leadership and some of the music she was "allowed" to create under that label/contract. But I seem to recall her being happier in her music career during that era than she ever had been before. Of course, we also had The Voice stuff start to occur during that time frame so not sure how much of that happiness was due to The Voice and how much was due to the MOL era. But given her happiness, newfound freedom in her recording contract, and overall enjoyment of the album era, I tend to believe she would be more apt to putting out albums more frequently if TKCS wasn't on her schedule every day a la a 9-5 job. Fast forward to chemistry, and the thing with that album specifically is that album was so deep, so personal for her that I'm sure it was hard for her to get it out there. The two eras we've had under Atlantic (MoL and chemistry) are two very different moods, so it's hard to compare them. But even so, I'm still more inclined to believe Kelly is much happier with her label and her music business now than she ever was with RCA. Comparing chemistry to My December or AIEW (because that was when a lot of her label troubles were at the forefront) I still think she is much happier now than she was from 2006-2010. Which would again lead me to believe she would be more likely to want to put out new music more frequently than she currently is if not for TKCS. So tl;dr is I disagree that Kelly would retire and go live in Montana full-time with the kids if not for TKCS. I'm inclined to believe we would be getting new music more frequently from her if not for TKCS. My personal opinion is I'd rather have her do TKCS, but I can see where some fans are coming from when they say they'd rather have new music more frequently than have her on TKCS. That Roddy Rich song was fantastic! Great sample!

I just really can't believe that Kelly is out in these streets with gorgeous mid-tempo smashes "Would You Call That Love" and "magic" that no one but her biggest fans even know about.
The criminality of it.

The criminality of it. I will forever be the annoying stan requesting "Don't You Pretend" until the day I die. It seems so up her alley, but I believe it's one of the the only live performances from the album release party that was never entirely released / recorded.

If possible, RCA should do their duty to certify Kelly's catalogs on RIAA. This is definitely criminal. I hope there will be justice for All I Ever Wanted era.
"All I Ever Wanted" - at least over 1 miilion copies sold
"My Life Would Suck Without You" - 3, 4 or 5xp "I Do Not Hook Up" - Gold or 1xp "Already Gone" - 2xp or 3xp
Actually, as we know, most of her catalogs from RCA didn't be properly certified yet. They're poorly underrated.
She still rocks great songs of that time! #Cry #Whyyawannabringmedown

If TKCS didn't happen, she probably would have stayed on The Voice longer, maybe do Broadway, do more albums. We'll unfortunately never know but she'd be busy. I really want her to sing WYCTL for Kellyoke. As far as I know she's only sung 1 minute of it in a melody on the MOL tour. It surprises me that never was released as a single.
