23. Awww nooo, my #3 of "Mercy" just missing out from making the Top 20. :'( I'm glad this song did this well and made it this high but I'm sad to see it not making it any higher as well. This is a great and fun song that introduced me to Duffy. Loved this from her! 21. Ughh and noooo at my #1 of "Love Song" by Sara Bareilles just missing out making the Top 20. Dangg now that hurts even more. :'( Really love this song and think this is such a cute, fun and snarky song from Sara. This still stands out to me as my favorite songs of hers, to this day. Also YAYY to Az Paynter on ranking this at #1 too and Leaf having this at #10. Also glad to see no Bottom 25 ranks for this too. 16. I think "Lost!" was my lowest ranked Coldplay song that I ranked at #60, so I'm glad to see this be their first song to show up here. 14. LMAOO I love my shout-out for Beck's "Orphans." Lmaoo me finally losing my 7th Bottom 10 sooo late into the game. Not a surprise but yayy very pleased to see my #94 go. This sadly just didn't do anything for me and didn't care for it. Wow I ranked this so much lower than everyone else, lmao. 11. Ughh noooo at "Shadow of the Day" by Linkin Park just missing the Top 10 but just 2 points. Ughh such a bummer. :'( I do really love this song, enough so to rank it at #4. This has always been one of my favorite songs from Linkin Park. Glad to see it do this well but wish it had made it further. Glad to see alexcuse give this a #1 ranking and plenty of Top 10 & Top 20 rankings! Of the extras, my favorite of those would be "Dreaming With a Broken Heart" by John Mayer. That probably would have made my Top 15 or 20, if it were on the actual list. Of the extra stats, I still maintain having the highest year-end closeness and by far the worst rankdown closeness by over 4 points, lmao. I was curious about my remaining stats - and LOLOL omg I'm doing so terribly. I didn't realize I only had one song left of my Top 34 remaining. And then just woww at all of this left: 5, 35, 37, 45, 73, 83, 86, 95, 97, 100. I'm pulling for my #5 but after seeing some comments in here, it's probably gonna be the first or 2nd song to show up here... and before my #100, lmao.

Dreaming With a Broken Heart would easily be the best performer of the John Mayer songs here if it was in the rankdown. Not quite sure about being overall best performer, but top half should be manageable.
Also Viva La Vida did grow on me when I listened to this list, sorry to some of you lol

25. You Don't Know Me - Ben Folds f/ Regina Spektor Actually kinda surprised I found bouncy piano beats work for a guy. They usually don't. Regina added a little more aesthetic vibe for me. 24. Dance With Me - Old 97's Do any of you know Spanish Rock band Elefante. That's why I liked this song. Has Latin elements. At least I didn't mention Ricky Martin again. 23. Mercy - Duffy One of my favorite discoveries from this list. Love the music from this era. That's some vocals performance there. Feels like brand of Psychedelic Motown. pretty much a bullseye rank. 22. Long Road to Ruin - Foo FightersObviously a total banger for me. Let's just say the Foos rule and move on. 21. Love Song - Sara Bareilles Pretty much a lovely song. I really enjoyed this one. Sara+ Bouncy Piano beats = win. I remember this one grazing my top 10 songs for weeks in the midst of heavies like Hinder and Nickelback.20. Hard Sun - Eddie Vedder As a band I came to appreciate their songs through the years, but I never gotten into Eddie Vedder's solo material. This wonderjam here didn't change things much. 19. Supernatural Superserious - R.E.M. I'm pretty sure we ranked this on Alt RD 2008, but I don't recall liking it this much? Don't think I've ever given this band this much of a free pass. I would have recognized that guitar hook. 18. I'm Amazed - My Morning JacketThis ain't my beloved "Holding On To Black Metal", but I'm pretty sure I boosted it for the guitarworks alone. 17. Take Back the City - Snow PatrolI'm very glad the lot of you enjoyed this classic. I've always dug this band's music. 16. Lost! - ColdplayThis song did nothing for me. Can you imagine how much lower I would have ranked a Jay-Z remix? 15. Trashcan - Delta Spirit Ewww... This vocals sounded like a drunk Rivers Cuomo. 14. I Feel It All - Feist Feistier than other songs I have previewed from this band. Decent song. Sounds better at high volume. 13. Old Enough - The Raconteurs This sounded like a jam on this list of songs. The most uniquely Rock vibed song. Jack White's vocals were soooo good. I even made a comment on youtube about how bad ass it sounded. I don't recall it on Alt 2008 RD. I don't think I would have slotted it this high on that RD , because that one was packed with Hard Rock acts and Alt classix. Still wonderin? Did this song even get pushed to Alt format. I guess most of you like The album's title track more? 12. Orphans - Beck Didn't recall this either. Beck's vocals really felt like gel with the style of the song. 11. Shadow of the Day - Linkin Park Originally my #17 on ALT RD. YOu see how these songs move up on a list of AAA unkonws. Anyway pretty much the only Linkin Park song that I can truly say I love. It has everything to do with the sort of U2 "With Or Without You" build up and the fact that that Mike Shinoda stayed for once. Well with this song out guess what? I only have one remaining top 10 song left on this RD. LO F U C KING L

Yep, just in time, In Rainbows as a whole grew on me. In some years this would've only meant so much, since I still don't feel the two songs on this list are highlights on the album, but in this year that meant they both got a free ride to my top 10 my condolences, Mayman, Trilogy, and Daryl 10

Historically, this has been one of my least favorite In Rainbows songs, but given that the album in question is In Rainbows, that's definitely not a slight against it.

I feel like we should re-do other RDs first, but the results of Alt 2008, in particular, are just...kind of weird lol
This was my lowest in this top ten, but it's not the song I was actively rooting against. Take two guesses as to what that is.
