How many artists have had a 6 week (possibly more) #1 with their second single? I don’t even think Luke Combs or Morgan Wallen did that.

This is a good song, and while connected good, had no business getting that many spins on Mediabase.. just my two cents.

This is a good song, and while connected good, had no business getting that many spins on Mediabase.. just my two cents. Not to mention, it's not falling fast enough from that high for other songs to get a week at #1, I feel like for "White Horse" to get a week at #1 on Billboard it is gonna need a miracle, and it's all due to that unnecessary push week last week. I was fine with this getting the 6 weeks at top on Billboard, due to the good timing with the holidays, and me enjoying the song, but my gosh the gap between this song and the ones below it is pretty much ensuring a death grip at #1 for probably a couple more weeks, as this unnecessarily pushed last week to gain an extra 900 spins (or almost) which has pretty much left this song just stuck at #1 as the gap is too huge, as the radio callout and how well this is connecting gives radio no real reason to let this fall super fast. Because once Stapleton is done, the next highest song that can even attempt #1 is Riley Green/Luke Combs which is over 2400 spins behind on Mediabase and over 12.5 million in audience below Nate Smith on Billboard. This song getting so many weeks at #1 is such a WTF moment in all the years I have done chart watching.

I was saying I was shocked this was spending a fifth week at #1 despite not feeling nearly as big as the usual 5-week #1s and now that it's spending a 6th week and possibly blocking a much bigger hit from the top (Chris Stapleton's "White Horse"), now everyone else seems to be getting on the same page, lol. Like this was a decently big hit sure, but it feels like a 2 or 3-week #1 type of hit not the kind that's like literally now spending more time at the top than like "Fast Car" which was #2 on the Hot 100 for months. I also like... never hear anything about Nate Smith. It definitely feels like this song is way bigger than he himself is. Despite this being big it just feels like he's flying so under the radar as an artist compared to other newer acts with multiple major hits (Bailey Zimmerman, HARDY, Lainey Wilson, etc.).

I think I’ve heard this song maybe three times. It’s wild to me that this is becoming one of the longest running number one hits over the last couple decades. This is definitely an example of where a chart run doesn’t match the impact of the song, imo.

This song confirms the phrase "It pays to be at the right place at the right time". It might have two more weeks at the top on BB.

Nate got a 7th week at #1 on Billboard. Could get an 8th week if Chris Stapleton is done after this weekend.

Nate got a 7th week at #1 on Billboard. Could get an 8th week if Chris Stapleton is done after this weekend. If it does get an 8th week it’ll be tied with Lonestar’s “Amazed” and Alan Jackson & Jimmy Buffett’s “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” for the second biggest hit on Country Airplay. Not only that but it’ll be 8 consecutive weeks for Nate as well which only Lonestar did. The Alan & Jimmy duet got knocked out a week then returned to #1 the following week. The song that dethroned them for 1 week happed to be Dierks Bentley’s debut single “What Was I Thinkin’”.

Can this song go away lol. Great song. Connected good. Deserving of a two week #1, maybe three. Potentially eight weeks at #1 is a bit excessive for a song that didn’t even go top 20 on the hot 100.

I love the song too but I have to say I agree with you. I’m just hoping they push Stapleton this week to the BB #1 and don’t drop it.

In a just world that doesn't have the holiday slowdown and Broken Bow giving the game up with "Save Me" in December, Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson get 4 weeks at #1 until the end of the year like Broken Bow should have aimed for ("Halfway To Hell" could have waited), this gets 3 maybe 4 weeks, and then Stapleton gets 3 to 4 with "White Horse". This getting 8 weeks potentially is just so random, as there isn't that much of a gap between the 3 songs in terms of hits (#12 peak for "White Horse" on the Hot 100, #19 for "Save Me", and #21 for "World On Fire") yet radio has just glommed onto this song hit wise.
Obviously songs get lucky with the holidays ("Wanna Be That Song" by Brett Eldredge getting 2 weeks at #1 on Billboard back in 2016/17 when the song was a mediocre at best hit), but man this song hit the jackpot with it, I don't blame Nate Smith or the label for capitalizing on it, I just wish radio didn't allow this to happen.

Does this have a chance at chance at getting 9 weeks at #1 on Billboard. Don’t know who’s pushing this week coming up but he was almost 8 million in audience ahead of the next song that hasn’t pushed yet which is Riley Green & Luke Combs’ “Different Round Here”. Guess it depends on how hard it starts losing spins too and Riley/Luke are gaining.

This song is solid, but never in my wildest dreams did I think it'd be an 8-week #1. Happy for Nate and all involved

Riley Green is maxing out this week. At the moment, it looks like he will need some big gains the next few days to catch Nate by Friday.

“World On Fire” gets a 9th week at #1 on billboard country airplay chart this week. This also becomes the first song to spend 9 consecutive weeks at #1. (You Proof had a week at #2 after 7 weeks at #1, before moving back to #1 for 3 more weeks)

This could very well hang on for a 10th week next week. Luke Combs is maxing with WTWTA which is 8 million behind Nate.

I want Combs to hit #1 on both charts obviously and for this to not get a 10th week. But also Sony is jumping the gun way too soon with Combs and I can easily see this backfiring in Sony's face and Combs being a Mediabase only #1.

At this rate, I say let this just spend the rest of the year at #1 because obviously country radio is just trolling at this point. 😵

Atp i won’t be surprised if this gets to 11 weeks on Billboard before it gets passed, preferably by Pretty Little Poison.

Totally flummoxed at the success of this song. I find it so average… we’ve had such a few smashes this decade that sounded much more deserving of this longevity at the top. Congrats to him, but I don’t get it, especially when you have stuff like Save Me and White Horse in the top 5.

If this did go recurrent on Mediabase this Sunday, the situation will only become worse as country labels mostly focus on Mediabase and so the song of the week they push will have more half-assed boosts.
At least he has a new single that will impact on February 19th, but that means 10 weeks at #1 for this one is very likely.

Even though this was the wrong song for it imo (it should have been "Save Me" for sure), it’s really refreshing to see such a long running number one. Feels like the 2000s again!
