oof, y'all did dirty to the japanese song, awesome tune. my favorite discovery here.
nick drake absolutely robbed of a top 10 spot, I've never heard anything off Bryter Layter so it caught me by surprise. I really need to check it.
Lovely Head started in my bottom 3 after first listen but just kept on growing. It really manages to put you in the mood.
Was completely expecting Poor Leno to leave at the bottom 10, very glad to see its liked.
And same goes for my #1, which definitely isn't winning this but I thought is leaving in the bottom half for sure. I would love for my #2 or #3 to win it all.

#19: Not one of my absolute favorite Kylie songs, but it's still super solid.
#18: I've been waiting to see more songs from Aja in rankdowns, given its reputation, and this did not disappoint.
#17: Want another example of how brutally tough this rankdown was? This song was in one of the toughest rankdowns I've ever put together, and it couldn't crack my top five here.
#16: I was actually worried this would be significantly lower, so I'll take this. Nick Drake didn't miss.
#15: This actually grew on me from when I first heard it a little while ago, to the point that I came this close to putting it top ten. City poppin'
#14: Absolutely stunning.
#13: Another solid Phantogram song, though I do think they have better.
#12: I would have argued that this was Kate's most underrated album until I saw that the general reception of it was pretty positive. One of my favorite songs on the album, too.
#11: Goldfrapp doesn't miss, either. I love the sci-fi vibes this gives off. Banger of a top ten, this. |

Was hoping Phantogram would sneak into the top ten. I personally would've picked other songs from Nightlife like "16 Years" or "Turning Into Stone" but still a great song.
No idea how this top ten is gonna pan out but i guess the safe winner would probably be Voyager?

I ranked the radio edit version that was in the playlist. I probably would have ranked the 5 1/2 minute version a couple spots higher but not in my top 10.

To be honest, most of The Velvet Rope is fine, but nothing overly spectacular. This and the title track are the two songs that stuck with me the most over the years. This song, in particular, is the vision of the album fully realized.

Favorite song on Dummy, one of my favorite Portishead songs period, and a #1 for me in a lot of RDs (if not this one). The only reason it wasn't my #1 here is because you included a song that was earmarked for a rankdown of mine until it wound up in this RD.

This may sound weird but this was the song that made me change my view on Portishead. I already had heard some of their other more well known songs but didn't get what was amazing about their music, but on first listen "Strangers" wowed me.
