The bolded part sounds all well and good, except it isn't actually true lol. There's nothing in the lyrics to back this up and the video certainly says the opposite.

I understand that everyone has different beliefs and that everyone has a right to share theirs, but I have to say, the way the Aldean's choose to express their beliefs are asinine and frankly make them look/sound like total fools.

Jason did not choose the location for the music video apparently. I understand some of the gun accusations but honestly saying the song is racist is making speculations (which is perfectly fine) but seems to not be true. I can’t think of one incident he has had with anyone that was racist so unlike Morgan Wallen he seems to be ok in my mind. I know this is a very unpopular take but I just want to put it out there to show both sides.

Girl do your research, they both belong in the dumpster. Anyways this is vaulting up Apple Music, currently at #56. Hardly surprising but still disappointing, its also in the top 20 on iTunes in multiple countries/regions now to add insult to injury.

If he was genuinely unaware of the history behind the church in the video, you'd think he would have said something in his statement to that effect. At this point, he/his PR team must know about it, so the fact that he's silent anyway means that a) they knew it all along and chose the location deliberately anyway, or b) learned about it after the fact but simply don't care. Either one of which makes him a liar about his feeling of community and taking care of neighbors.

I honestly don’t think that location was picked for specific racial reasons, largely because I don’t think those bozos are intelligent enough to use subtext, but I do believe that they don’t care in the least about its history and are probably retroactively glad they decided to film there.

They actively knew what they were all doing, these are the same type of people who have so much blind pride and patriotism to America and its history. It was all a calculated ploy to obviously help an underperforming song out. While it may not carry on to be a major hit or anything, it now gets to be an infamous song that generated a ton of controversy.

I'm thinking next week (not the next chart, the other one) this will be on the top10 of the Hot100 easily. Possibly top5. The numbers are insane. It really is a shame.
