If you had a choice of the temperature outside being extremely hot or extremely cold which would you prefer?

I'm going with 0*F because I don't consider that all that cold and it can still be sunny making it feel nicer.
100*F where I live is almost guaranteed to also be very humid and gross. No thank you.
Ask me again in the winter and I may change my mind. Lol
Either way, if needed, I am lucky enough to be able to stay inside with heat or AC. I know that isn't an option for everyone.

Heat. 100F is extremely uncomfortable. 0F actually hurts.

^This! When you are too cold, you can do something about it. Put on heavier clothes, sit there wrapped in a blanket, etc. But when you are laying there in the middle of the night, buck naked, directly in front of a fan, and STILL too hot, there is literally nothing else you can do about it but sit there and suffer, lol. (I mean, you could take a cold shower, but I don't count that as relief because then you'll just be immediately too hot again the moment you get out.)
Of course, if you own air conditioning that can be a game-changer I'm sure! I've never lived in a house with air conditioning, so in the summer when it gets to like 100+ degrees in the day and stays 80+ degrees at night (no relief from opening the windows...), it's basically unlivable.

^ Totally agreed with the above two comments. The feeling of being sweaty has always felt gross to me for some reason, whereas extreme cold doesn't have any additional sensation like that associated with it.

I prefer extremely cold weather. No doubt about it!

My trick to not having a/c in my apartment was to take hot showers on really bad days, then the air would be cooler on my skin, and Id add to it by standing in front of the fan. It wasn’t a solution, but it helped when I was desperate.
If I had to choose, I’d pick extreme cold as well, because I agree, you can wear layers.
