82. Crank That (Soulja Boy) - Soulja BoyBorn in Chicago and raised in Atlanta, DeAndre Way got his start posting his songs on SoundClick. He later created accounts on Myspace and YouTube, taking on the name Soulja Boy Tell 'Em. He would eventually sign with Interscope and in 2007 released his debut single "Crank That (Soulja Boy)". It topped the rap and Hot 100 charts and peaked at #3 on the R&B chart, and was the first song to sell over three million digital copies in the US. It also received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Song, and sparked a craze that would come to be known as the Soulja Boy Dance. Soulja Boy was beaten and robbed in his home in 2008. The next day, videos surfaced of two masked men claiming credit. I like Kiss Me Thru The Phone much more than this. I feel like I may have liked Crank That more in the past but it got annoying fast. Admittedly the beat is kind of catchy.

81. Shorty Wanna Ride - Young BuckBorn in Nashville, David Brown got his start as a teenager performing for Cash Money co-founder Birdman. He then signed with Cash Money before joining Juvenile's label UTP. He released two albums with the label, then left for 50 Cent's G-Unit label. He also joined the group G-Unit, replacing Tony Yayo who was in jail on gun possession charges. His 2004 single "Shorty Wanna Ride", produced by Lil Jon, peaked at #6 on the rap chart, #8 on the R&B chart, and #17 on the Hot 100. Young Buck was kicked out of the G-Unit group in 2008 for drug abuse and missing recording sessions, among other issues. This led to him releasing a diss track aimed at 50 and G-Unit. He rejoined the group when it reformed in 2014. 80. The Boss - Rick Ross feat. T-PainBorn in Mississippi and raised in south Florida, William Roberts II was a corrections officer before getting into music. He originally took on the name Teflon Da Don before changing it to Rick Ross. He had offers from Bad Boy and Murder Inc., but eventually signed with Slip-N-Slide which was under the Def Jam label. His 2008 single "The Boss", featuring T-Pain, peaked at #2 on the rap chart, #5 on the R&B chart, and #17 on the Hot 100. Samples "Paul Revere" by the Beastie Boys. If it was Push It or Here I Am by Rick Ross, they would have probably been in my top 30.

NOOOO...I confused Nasty Girl with Nasty Boy. I don't even know this song! Also, I don't know why I ranked that Lil Zane song so high, but I did love it when it came out and forgot all about it til this rankdown.

90. Gettin' Some - Shawnna: Oooh this song is such a fun and hot jam from Shawnna. Ooh I'm kinda surprised I ranked this at #67 as I thought I had ranked this higher than that too. But this is another jam that I did really enjoy. 89. Independent - Webbie feat. Lil Phat & Lil Boosie: Even though I can't stand Lil Boosie's voice, I do really like this song and think of this as such a fun jam! I really like this enough to rank this at #53. The spelling out the word "Independent" is and will forever be so catchy and addicting, haha. Oh wow I did not know that fact about Lil Phat - he was so young and wow that's such a terrible way to lose your life. :'( 88. Wasted - Gucci Mane feat. Plies: Oooh yess, this was my #98 so I am so pleased to lose this from the rankdown now. I don't remember when this was out but relistening to it, I didn't really care for it and it didn't do much for me. 87. Shawty - Plies feat. T-Pain: This is a cool and enjoyable jam that I liked enough to place at #74. I do like this but it's never been a major favorite of mine. In fact, I much preferred "Hypnotized" and would have ranked that song higher here. 86. Purple Pills - D12: This was a really fun and enjoyable song that I liked enough to rank at #55. Although I forgot I had ranked it this high. I think it must have been one of those songs that grew on me the more I listened to this to rank it higher. Though like 312999 said, I also much prefer "My Band" and would have ranked that higher too. 85. Holla At Me - DJ Khaled: I wasn't really that familiar with this song but this was okay. I ranked it at #95 so I'm pleased to see it show up as it wasn't a big standout. I didn't expect to be the lowest ranker here. I do like the sample here. But as far as DJ Khaled songs, I would have loved seeing "We Takin' Over" here as I loved that one and would have ranked that song high. 84. Party Like a Rockstar - Shop Boyz: Aww noo, I'm sad to see this song show up as this was my #36. I do really like this. This was such a fun jam and gives me such great flashbacks to the summer of 2007. I do like the rock vibe of this song as it gives off such a different feel/vibe here. 83. Girl - Paul Wall: Oooh whoaa, that's shocking to see some lose a #1 this soon. :o Sorry to ilikemilk. :( Anyway, Oooh I do really like this song but oh wow, kinda surprised seeing that I only ranked this at #73. But wow that goes to show you how many of these songs I really enjoy. I do really like this slower side from Paul Wall and this was my favorite song of his. I love the sample here too. 82. Crank That (Soulja Boy) - Soulja Boy: Ughh dangg, really sad to see this song show up as this was my #19, but honestly not surprised. I know this is a very polarizing song where people could love it or hate it, so I get why the rankings are all over the place. Aww bummer at the two #100s. :( But I unashamedly love this song. It's so fun, catchy and just one of those songs that get stuck in my head. I also loved his "Kiss Me Thru The Phone" and wouldn't have minded that here but am okay with this being here as this is his signature hit. 81. Shorty Wanna Ride - Young Buck: Oooh nicee to lose another Bottom 10 song here! This was my #93 and it's a song I barely remember. I'm sure I have heard it when it was out but it didn't do much for me then and doesn't do much for me now when listening to it. Oh wow I had no idea about the drama of him being kicked out of G-Unit. :o

75. We Fly High - Jim JonesBorn in NYC, Joseph Jones II started out as a member of the Diplomats (aka Dipset) collective with Cam'ron and Freekey Zekey. His biggest hit came in 2006 with "We Fly High". It topped the rap chart and peaked at #4 on the R&B chart and #5 on the Hot 100. Soon after the song's release Jay-Z recorded a diss track titled "Brooklyn High". Jim answered that with a remix to "We Fly High" titled "We Fly High (Beef Mix)". Jim Jones would later appear in the first two seasons of Love & Hip Hop. Fun fact: longtime L&HH cast member Yandy Smith-Harris was his manager. 74. Why - Jadakiss feat. Anthony HamiltonBorn in Yonkers, New York, Jason Phillips first came to prominence as one third of the trio The L.O.X., originally called The Warlox, with Styles P and Sheek Louch. He later went solo, and in 2004 released the single "Why" featuring Anthony Hamilton. It peaked at #3 on the rap chart, #4 on the R&B chart, and #11 on the Hot 100. The song garnered some controversy in particular with the line "Why did Bush knock down the towers", seeming to imply that then-president George W. Bush had a hand in the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001. Several radio stations banned the song as a result. In the music video, a man is seen holding a picket sign that reads "BUCK FUSH". The lyrics are almost "So bad it's good" but the beat makes this song not worth listening to just for the ironic enjoyment

73. Raise Up - Petey deletedBorn in Greenville, North Carolina, Moses Barrett III had a five-year stint in prison for armed robbery. Following his release he met Black Rob and Busta Rhymes and soon signed a deal with Jive Records. His debut single "Raise Up" was released in 2001. Produced by Timbaland, it topped the rap chart and peaked at #9 on the R&B chart and #25 on the Hot 100. The song pays homage to Petey's home state of North Carolina. An All Cities remix shouts out other cities and states around the US, and after the 9/11 attacks a USA-themed remix was released, dedicated to the victims and survivors. 71. U And Dat - E-40 feat. T-Pain & KandiBorn in California, Earl Stevens got his start as part of a group with his brother, sister, and cousin called the Most Valuable Players. The group later changed their name to The Click and recorded on E-40's label Sick Wid It Records. In 2006 he released the single "U And Dat". Featuring T-Pain and Kandi Burruss and produced by Lil Jon, it peaked at #4 on the rap chart, #8 on the R&B chart, and #13 on the Hot 100. 80. The Boss - Rick Ross feat. T-Pain: Aww sad to see this song show up. I Ranked this at #45 so this is one of the many songs that I really like here. This is such a fire jam and I've always really enjoyed this. Pretty sure this is my favorite song of Rick Ross' so I wish it could have done better. 79. Never Scared - Bone Crusher feat. T.I. & Killer Mike: This is another fun jam that I really enjoyed enough to rank it at #70. I can't really recall any other songs of Bone Crusher, of him as the lead artist, so this always stood out as my favorite song of his. This song was also one of my earliest memories of T.I., which is fun. 78. Callin' Me - Lil Zane feat. 112: Another fun jam that I really like and enjoyed. But oh wow, my #54 ranking surprises me as I did not realize I put it that high. I thought I ranked it lower, lol. Lil Zane & 112 proved to be a good duo together with this and "Anywhere." 77. Switch - Will Smith: Aww this was a really fun and enjoyable jam from Will Smith. Not one of my favorite very favorites from but I still really like this song enough to rank it at #26. It's kinda sad this was his last big hit single as I would have liked seeing more hit songs from him. 76. Nasty Girl - The Notorious B.I.G.: This is another fun jam and I liked this enough to rank it at #58. Lots of fun rap verses from all of the rappers on this song. 75. We Fly High - Jim Jones: Oooh yess, I do really like this song and like it enough to rank it at #39. I'm glad not to be the highest ranker of this and that this song has two higher rankers than me, because I think I was the highest ranker of this song for the One Hit Wonders game. This song is such a jam and an ANTHEM for sure! You couldn't not jam or sing along to this and that catchy chorus. Ouch at the #99 and #100 rankings. This having the 19th highest SD isn't too shocking either. Wished this could have been higher but wasn't expecting it to be. 74. Why - Jadakiss feat. Anthony Hamilton: This was a really good, deep and meaningful song from Jadakiss. I get that this had some controversial lines but I really enjoyed the heart, message and what Jadakiss brought to this song. I like this enough to rank it at #69. It was never a huge favorite of mine but it's a song I appreciate. 73. Raise Up - Petey deleted: Ooh yess, really like "Raise Up" a lot. This is another fire jam that just got me so hype and excited whenever I heard this. I like this enough to rank this at #46, so mhmm within my top half. I do prefer "Freek-A-Leek" and would have ranked that one a little higher but this is my 2nd favorite song of Petey's. The rankings for this song do look pretty tight. 72. I'm a Thug - Trick Daddy: Ooh snap, I forgot about this song being here.... and also forgot that I had ranked it so low at #97. lmaoo oops. But I was wondering what my #97 was as I forgot but now I know. Yeah this song is just alright but I never really cared much for this. The chorus is cute/kinda catchy, I guess, but the song just doesn't do much for me. I prefer a number of his other songs namely, "Take It to Da House," "Let's Go" and "Sugar (Gimme Some)," all of which I would have ranked so much higher. 71. U And Dat - E-40 feat. T-Pain & Kandi: This was another fun jam that I really enjoyed... and enjoy it enough to rank it at #57. I wouldn't have minded this song to rank a little higher but also not upset with this showing up here, as I lost some bigger favorites. And it's also funny that I never realized that "Kandi Girl" here was the actual Kandi (Burruss) until recently, lmao.

Awww I LOVE I'm a Thug, but I was expecting it to go out early. Also, pleasantly surprised to see We Fly High out so early. I was actually afraid it would be Top 20. That "BALLIN'" croak will NEVER not grate.

Also late but if U Make Me Wanna by Jadakiss was on this over Why, I would have had it way higher maybe top 20. Mariah kills it on the chorus there and love the beat and flow of that even more.
