RadioInsight Articlehttps://www.instagram.com/p/CtcEZqHJHXA Is this creepy or what? Why is Alpha Media and Live 95.5 trying to promote this as a good thing, when in reality, instead of being "pioneers" they're just the first to use AI to take over jobs of real people.
Maybe I'm just being paranoid. What are your thoughts on this?

I feel like if the music industry don’t do something about it soon. AI will have some devastating effects on it, hugely affecting t songwriters/producers then make its way up to the artists then to the big ones themselves.

Some stations use pre-recorded audio of a real person, talking and introducing the music as well not actually having that person in the studio. This is just taking it to the next level and this is extreme. If they really cannot afford to have talent on the show, then they should just play the music with pre-recorded pieces of radio IDs and whatnot instead.

A.I. is gonna ruin the music industry (along with many other industries) if there isn’t restrictions put on this technology. And this is coming from someone who currently works in A.I.

This is wild. I will be curious to see if other stations quickly follow suit.

We are probably only about 5 or so years out from having the first AI pop-star.

We are probably only about 5 or so years out from having the first AI pop-star. One could make a case that we have already had some of those already given how much autotune and studio trickery is needed to make some artists actually palatable and suitable for the general public to consume and listen to and when they do try to perform live, we hear how much truly went into making them sound appropriate.

Miku is much more different than what the situation will soon be. Just imagine in like 2033, the majority of the big artists out there are all robots….If we get our first AI pop-star before the 2030s and their successful, then that is all on the gp and the industry.

Not sure this will ever actually work. There is no “true” replacement for the spectacle of the celebrity, and that’s still very much a thing. I think regulations need to be imposed on AI, but I’m not convinced it’s the onset of dystopia.
