This is indeed a remake of the once acapella Jane song that Opus III had a big hit with in the early 90s and then Miss Jane had a hit with it (using the original Jane acapella) in the late 90s.
This actually samples the Opus III version acapella.
This is actually pretty decent and retains a lot of what made the Opus III recording of it so great but modernizes it. The Opus III version of it was one of my two gateway songs into Dance/Club music so I am super picky about any remakes of the song.

Unfortunately, Kirsty Hawkshaw, who recorded the Opus III and two updated versions as a solo artist, isn’t happy about this one because she isn’t getting credit for the use of her vocals on this one.

I LOVED Opus III’s version when it was released. Hope it’s not a bad rehash like some of the latest 90s inspired tragedies
