Exactly whatever gets her foot in the door. I'm perfectly fine if this works and she has to record "lesser" songs just to stay relevant. Her having a hit would be such a big deal and will only make things hopefully easier for whoever comes next. (Or I'd hope that's the case)

I've listened to this quite a bit since it dropped and if this qualifies as a "lesser" song by Mickey's standards, then that really speaks to her strength as an artist because I still think this is a B-level song at absolute worst.

I think "Heaven Down Here" got an official radio push, no? It never charted but I think it was given an adds date.

Oh sorry, I didn’t realize that.

"Heaven Down Here" wasn't on the album. It was on her Bridges EP that came out a year earlier. They haven't sent a single of her's to radio since then, which means it's been almost exactly 3 years. I thought they'd try with "Remember Her Name" but it never happened.

Pulled in 24 adds on impact. Not a particularly great start considering it's a duet with Kane Brown and was really just going up against Megan Moroney (so not too much competition), but we shall see how it does over time.

It's better than the 10 that Heaven Down Here pulled in, but I'm still not overly optimistic about this one's chart prospects.

Even with Kane I think this is the best impact date this song could’ve hoped for. It’s a very generic song and Mickey has zero momentum. Someone had compared it to “Goodbye Summer” with Danielle Bradbery/Thomas Rhett and I can see a similar end result here. Maybe it’s able to connect somehow but I just don’t see an especially bright future here.

Despite a decent add date this has very few stations playing it 7 or more times right now. Unless things change quickly it will be a huge battle for this to chart.

This song sounds like safe enough radio fodder, great production, and features an A-list male artist. Its tee'd up for success. Mickey also has an awesome voice, and because of that I've always been rooting for her.

It just feels like, after all these years at Universal, and the endless opportunities/positioning (Hosting award shows, singing the anthem at the Super Bowl, Grammy Nominations, Performance slots, etc.) they are still having trouble getting anyone to care about the music. Even all the button pushing songs, and "song of the year" type's she's put out have had little to no buzz around them. I don't know what it is, or if a song/album can really launch her off at this point...it feels like the exposure has happened and still, no-one really cares. I hate it and wish it were different for her, because she has all the makings of a superstar (Look/Voice/Etc), but if this song fails, I'm not sure I see Universal trying again at radio with her

Kind of wish UMG went all in with "What Are You Gonna Tell Her" and made it a single. Now THAT felt like a hit. Even if it was just a top 40 hit (which would still be a success for Mickey.)

I think it was originally supposed to be pushed, but then COVID happened right after it dropped and threw a wrench in a lot of plans, not just for Mickey but plenty of artists. Even if they had done a radio release for it, I also feel like it would've probably managed a peak in the 30s or 40s like her first two singles. It had a similar response as her debut single when it was debuted, but it was also a bit "edgy" for what country radio would typically be keen on playing, plus the added weight of COVID being a downer wouldn't have helped. It deserved better and she deserves better, but like diamondinmypocket highlighted above, she really has had a lot of exposure and it just hasn't translated to anything unfortunately.

I’ve always been mixed on Mickey, when she’s good she’s GREAT but songs like this are pretty terrible to me. I want her to find success, but it seems to be an uphill battle for her and generic trendy songs like this aren’t going to help her out.

Yea sometimes I have to take a pause and remember this fact- “ major labels have a success rate of roughly 0.0465% – about 1 in 2149 artists/bands signed to a major label ever reach the superstar status required to have a chance at actually making money.” She has a great voice but she just is not connecting with the general public in a significant way. If trying to find a silver lining disregarding commercial and radio success, she’s received some opportunities and played on some stages hit artists are still dreaming about playing. At the age of (I think late 30’s)- she should be extremely proud of the career she’s had and the impacting statements she made thru her music.

Another note on the wide attempts to break her- I noticed this week she’s credited on Maroon 5’s single Middle Ground right inside the top 40 on HAC with a small bullet tho the solo version already peaked in the top 15 on the format over a month ago.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like the label is going to be promoting this in the new year as this wasn't mentioned at all in the year end Pdf, and this songs leaders barely exist (only 4 stations have played this song 7 or more times this week). 

Not shocked this flopped,  but man I wish it would've charted at least.

It just wasn't the best song imo. I wish they would have tried a stronger song with her, as it was already going to be an uphill battle anyway.

I forgot this song ever existed. It’s obviously not a great song, but it’s decent radio fodder that should’ve at least been able to chart. I’m not sure what else they can try with her at this point.
