85. Rack City - TygaStraight outta Compton, Micheal Stevenson got his start releasing demos and mixtapes under the name Tyga (a backronym for Thank You God Always). His first mixtape led to Travie McCoy signing him to the label Decaydence Records (now known as DCD2 Records). He later signed with Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment, and in 2011 scored a big hit with "Rack City". It peaked at #2 on the rap chart, #5 on the R&B chart, and #7 on the Hot 100. Tyga has been romantically linked to Blac Chyna and Kylie Jenner. In 2021 he competed on The Masked Singer as "Dalmatian". Guilty pleasure. Taste would have been a bit higher for me too. His most underrated song though is Far Away, which would have come close to my top 10.

Rack City is very basic and belongs in the bottom half, but...it is a bop!

Dang, but not surprised. I did expect this out early. Also a fun nice jam. Better than their bigger hit Flex IMO.

82. Show Me - Kid Ink feat. Chris BrownBorn in Los Angeles, Brian Collins got his start as a producer, with his first credit going to a Nipsey Hussle single. He soon started rapping under the name Rockstar. He released his first mixtape, which led to him signing with Tha Alumni Group and changing his name to Kid Ink. After releasing his debut album he signed with RCA and had his biggest hit in 2013 with "Show Me". Featuring Chris Brown, it peaked at #2 on the rap chart, #4 on the R&B/Hip Hop chart, and #13 on the Hot 100. Contains an interpolation of "Show Me Love" by Robin S. Lil Yachty shoulda stayed at McDonald's. I forgot what I ranked at 100 but OMG, his voice, inability to find the beat...I think I made it through 10 seconds of that song. Just horrible. Maybe I will watch the video but...idk. Also...why did I rank Moneybagg Yo so high?! This rankdown is a reminder that most modern-day rap is hot garbage, particularly the men.

50 Cent's music in the 2010s was about as relevant as the pager--I don't even know why he was here lol OT Genasis, Tyga, and Kid Ink have all done next to nothing worthwhile in their careers, but they did have hits so I understand their presence Rich Homie Quan's only utility as far as I'm concerned was being part of Rich Gang, but his song here was OK. Used to hate "Murder On My Mind" but that was at least partially due to the fact that I thought it was actually about the murder he was on trial for; it was not lmao. Regardless, he has better songs. My favorite is "Virtual (Blue Balenciagas)" Most of Lil Yachty's music prior to the past year is groan-worthy (One Night specifically was one of my all-time least favorites but I have softened on it a tiny bit recently). Ever since "Poland" came out a year ago, though, I feel like he's come upon a bit of a windfall creatively? Let's Start Here was a great psychedelic rock album (outside the purview of rap but worth mentioning), and he's put out several good rap singles too. Logic was decent before 2017, then between 2017 and 2021 he was just constantly tripping over himself with shitty projects, then since 2022 he's found some semblance of consistency again Lil Durk definitely has better songs than "Backdoor"; we've mostly already ranked his best recent songs, but if we went back to his older work, it would've been nice to see something like "Dis Ain't What U Want" Moneybagg Yo never really impresses me, but I never really feel like his music is unwelcome either. Good mainstream filler material.

85. Rack City - Tyga: Oooh wow I thought I had ranked this higher than #33 as I do really like this but I guess there were more songs that I liked more than this than I remembered. Regardless sad to see this showing up so soon. I really like this and this song is really such a jam to me. Not too huge on Tyga overall but this is one of my favorites from him. Like 312999 mentioned, I really like "Far Away" much more and would have ranked that even higher, possibly somewhere in my Top 20. 84. One Night - Lil Yachty: Okay I don't really remember this one but it's my #95 so I'm good with this showing up. I am sure I didn't care for this with that low ranking. 83. Type Of Way - Rich Homie Quan: Ugh I ranked this at #82..... this couldn't have made it just one spot higher for a perfect ranking? Darn. Anywho, another song I didn't really care for. I would have preferred "Flex" on here as that's a song I liked from him and would have ranked much higher. 82. Show Me - Kid Ink feat. Chris Brown: Aww another song I really liked, and enough so to rank at #27. Sadly I didn't expect this to rank so high so that's a bummer. But always thought this was a fun jam. One of my favorites from Kid Ink. 81. Wockesha - Moneybagg Yo: Oooh lol me ranking this all the way up at #58 and I barely remember this. But I guess this was one of the songs I had positive feelings on despite never hearing it before. Oooh if this contained the same sample as "One More Chance" and "Foolish," then that could explain my higher ranking for it lol.

80. I'm Different - 2 ChainzBorn and raised in College Park, Georgia, Tauheed Epps played basketball while in college. He formed the duo Playaz Circle with his friend Dolla Boy. After releasing an independent album, they were introduced to Ludacris who signed them to his label Disturbing Tha Peace. Epps was initially known as Tity Boi, but eventually changed his name to 2 Chainz. His 2012 single "I'm Different" peaked at #6 on the rap and R&B/Hip Hop charts and #27 on the Hot 100. In 2015 2 Chainz started his own label The Real University (T.R.U. for short), and in 2020 had a Verzuz battle with Rick Ross. I enjoyed Tyga’s singles prior to “Rack City”. It seem like he was chasing a hit when it dropped. I do love “Faded” though.
Lil Yachty came up during the early years of mumble rap. My favorite contributions from him are his appearances in “iSpy” and “Broccoli” and writing City Girls’ “Act Up”.
I liked “Show Me” a lot back in 2014.
Debarge’s “Stay With Me” has been sampled multiple times at that point. However, “Wockesha” was one of the better rap songs from 2021. Its nice that Ashanti showed up on the remix.

My 91-94 are definitely going to the top 20 lol.
Stoner is still in? It somehow escaped my bottom 10 but I thought even Young Thug fans hated that song, like I get why Lifestyle or his other songs could be liked but never heard Stoner praised.

Most of these reveals haven't been songs I care about *too* strongly, though there's still some weird stuff going on here lol. 1 800 escaping bottom 10 was a weird choice, also hoping Same Love shows up soon (technically not my lowest but my lowest remaining rank is probably going to stick around for a decent amount of time)
