Already up to 136 adds with a big bullet heading to the top 40! This is faster than anything he's ever released! So happy to see this for him and such a traditional country song!

It’s actually super frustrating that with radio latching onto this so strongly from the jump, it still has VERY weak DSP playlisting leaving this with under 500k Spotify streams. Really hoping Friday brings some decent playlist adds but that continues to hold him back and I have to wonder what kind of strength Triple Tigers has on that front. Even Russell Dickersons editorial playlisting seems to be a bit weaker this current single.

Top 40 on the Billboard chart at 3 weeks from impact !!!!!!!! Pretty sure it's a record for Scotty.
Now, let's hope "Cab In A Solo" does the same on the Mediabase chart on Sunday.

Is it me or did this start out with a ton of promise only for it to die pretty fast? Not saying this won’t do well in radio but man, its streams are really poor.

This is one of the drawbacks of being on the kind of label he is on. They don't seem to be able to get him on any streaming playlists. Would not be surprising if that impacted his progress on the charts at some point.

It's not even been 2 full months since it went for adds and it's knocking on the door of reaching top 30 in airplay, so it's certainly doing amazingly thus far. Most artists of his caliber would be lucky to even be on the chart after 2 months these days (look at how Dierks Bentley, Brett Young, Michael Ray etc. are currently doing...), with how slow everything moves. The streams will pick up in time.

I think this is still doing pretty well on radio. It's not been mentioned here, but this song did have a radio deal so part of the fast start at first was due to that. According to this week's Billboard, its only been on the chart for 7 weeks & is at #35 on Billboard Country Airplay & #34 on the official Mediabase chart. He's not an A-lister so it is moving faster than a normal song. The song reached #33 on Billboard the 1st week with the deal & its almost back to that peak. I would be more concerned if this received the radio deal & it had taken much longer to get to the mid 30s on the chart & with negative or small updates. The streaming is a big issue. However, this doesn't seem to be just his issue, but a label issue. His labelmate, Russell Dickerson currently is in the Top 5 on Billboard & his single isn't on any of the big country streaming playlists. Russell's single only has a little over 24 million streams on Spotify. That's very low especially for a song this high on radio. I do think if the streaming does not improve it could improve how well this charts on radio. I still think this will still be a Top 10 hit.

The charting is obviously not the issue with this song. It is doing very well on the charts so far.
However, the streaming is a huge issue. At this point, the song only has an abysmal 1M streams. Not surprising, since CIAS has been at the bottom of the only playlist that it has been on since the song was released. Something is off kilter here.

Yeah, but look at the Spotify numbers for all of Russell's other singles. It doesn't suggest a trend to me that the label is inadequate of getting him streams, or else he'd be struggling with every release. That said, Scotty does have less of a streaming presence by comparison. I don't think we can just blame it all on the label tho -- he's been around awhile and predates the streaming era, unlike Russell who is a lot "newer."

I do wonder where this will peak if the streaming doesn't pick up. It only has about 1.7 million streams on Spotify. I know he debuted ahead of the streaming era, but that is still pretty bad to have been a single for almost 3 months. That's pretty similar to Darius' single that fizzled out in the 40s a month or two ago.

That's pretty similar to Darius' single that fizzled out in the 40s a month or two ago. I could potentially see this not making Top 20. That's how concerning the streams for this single are. I thought this was definitely a Top 10 hit possibly #1 with the right timing. This isn't just about an artist that typically doesn't stream well because he debuted prior to the streaming era. It wasn't mentioned before including by me, but why there was a lot of concern about the single's streams was at the time the streams would be one of his worst streamed singles. I wouldn't be surprised if this single's streams are on par or worse to streams of his previous singles of "Water Tower Town," "Southern Belle," etc. after 3 months release which are his worst charting radio singles. I understand he doesn't get good playlisting & his singles don't typically get a lot of streams, but this is worse than his usual output. Also, to me it means his fanbase for whatever reason isn't consuming or streaming this single at least at the amount his recent singles were getting even without good playlisting. That means there probably is some disconnect.

I do think this song at worse has a chart run like his last single or what we are seeing with "God Gave Me A Girl", "Stars Like Confetti", where the song doesn't have much impact streaming or sales wise but radio likes it enough to get it a Top 5 peak with a possible Mediabase #1 (I would say Billboard as well but that is a lot rarer these days)

It's been consistently making good daily numbers on the chart for a good while again. I think it'll take off pretty quick after the Holiday freeze weeks are over. Also hell yeah for the Opry invitation! About time for a guy who makes Country music good as this and has a deep personal love for the Opry itself. I can't wait til his induction!

While this is coasting up the top 20, Scotty has posted a clip of a new song. Another one sounding straight out of the 90s Jukebox next to songs by Joe Diffie and John Michael Montgomery. I can't wait for this damn album! It's called "Can't Pass the Bar."

This song makes no sense what's so ever it's time for it to disappear and quit hogging up chart space.

This song makes no sense what's so ever it's time for it to disappear and quit hogging up chart space. He's drinking Cabernet in a solo cup, solo in the cab of his truck after seeing that his girl has moved on and is hooking up with another dude. It's incredibly straightforward and a really similar premise to several classic country songs like "That Ain't My Truck" by Rhett Akins and "I Saw the Light" by Wynonna. The song has also only been on the chart for like 4 months, which is literally nothing for country radio. This entire statement of yours makes no sense.

I like this song
The style has a laid-back feel and after reading indulge s comment I feel that it really can be compared to Wynonna’s I Saw the Light I like this style and hope there will be more male artists capture this sound But his voice is still too rough for me which is why there are limited male artists I like
Overall great song

Maybe because it is old school country music which a lot of people have never heard. This is my favorite song on the chart right now and I hope it continues to climb.

The problem is he went to the store for wine. Everybody knows that if you want good wine and you want to get the girl, you go the Creole Williams.

Top 20 on both charts (BB #20- CA #17) Great start of year. Now it needs to keep on going and more importantly his label has to have this song added to Spotify. Very, very late in the game but better late than never.

Yeah his label needs this added to the hot country playlist. Because only 2.5 million streams isn't a good look for a song continuing to climb the chart.

I can’t believe it isn’t streaming higher. Scotty has released some great singles but for me this is close to “Damn Strait” and “Five More Minutes” for my favorite songs he has released.
