www.facebook.com/dawn.p.joblon/videos/241267452095174This is him debuting it on the Opry. It sounds straight off a 90s Brooks and Dunn album! I can't wait to hear the full studio version! He said in a recent interview his new album's writing and music is going to reflect the 90s Country sounds he grew up listening to.

This is my favorite song of the year. Perfect country phrasing and that steel!
Scotty is one of the most underrated stars in country music. I’d like to see him start getting the award show respect he deserves. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I’d say Five More Minutes and Damn Strait are his high impact #1’s. I believe this will be his third. There are more flashy artists out there, but Scotty is as solid and traditional as it gets today.

Honestly I always think of "See You Tonight" as one of his signature hits as well. But I completely forgot it only peaked at #8!! Damn! Felt like a #1 smash at the time with how much I heard it.

You know, I had that same thought. It was definitely a #1 in Oklahoma.

Traditional sounds are coming back big time and Scotty is on the forefront of that! This song and album may very well take him to that next level he's so close to. He's got one of the richest voices in Country and his writing skills are getting stronger with each album. He's come a long way. This song is such an ear worm. I can't get it out of my head and the studio version isn't even out yet! I hope this one is his fastest chart climber yet.

Very traditional sound and love how the steel guitar is featured on this song. Perfect song for his voice. Looking forward to seeing this climb the charts.

I only wish George Jones and Haggard were still alive to hear this! Traditional Country still lives with an artist and song this great!

Fantastic throwback sound! This is so obviously a George Strait influence and I’m thankful we’re at a place where an artist is able to send something like this to radio!!
I do think the hook isn’t as “catchy” like a lot of the more pop influenced hooks in modern country are, which I hope radio is willing to push past if the call-outs come back a little soft. More traditional songs like this can do well, but I feel tend to have a ceiling of top 5 not #1. (With no hard data to back me up hence me saying “feel” lol)

The instrumentation on this is just so lush and beautiful. Love that Scotty is sticking to the neo-traditional roots of the genre with this one. This needs to be another smash hit for him.

Debuts at #46 on Mediabase.
That ties "I Love You This Big" for the highest MB debut of Scotty's career.

Stellar song, best thing Scotty McCreery has released to date. Aside from the killer instrumentation, the song has one hell of a gorgeous melody. I love the hook too. Scotty has the perfect voice for this type of material. A+ song all around.

Bout time he’s getting his due with a fantastic song at that. I don’t see this mentioned much but I’m impressed with how Triple Tigers and Scotty haven’t really slowed down on capitalizing on momentum and keeps himself constantly played on radio without long gaps.

The longest gaps he's had is when his songs have taken a better part of a year (or more) to climb. It seems like radio is finally letting his songs move faster. This song is getting it's well deserved recognition. I don't think George Strait himself would have hesitated to record this song had it been demoed to him. That's how good it is and how great Scotty's vocals articulate it.

Finally got around to listening to this and wow. This is probably the best Scotty McCreery song I've ever heard? Love the neotraditional sound and like the word play of "cab" and "solo".

Yes, both charts are awesome to see this week.
I'm really hoping that "Cab In A Solo" will climb the charts faster than any previous Scotty single. It however, needs some streaming help big time.
Who knows, miracle of miracle, maybe that will pick up also.

Who knows, miracle of miracle, maybe that will pick up also. That’s kinda been my exact thoughts seeing this do so well out of the gate- streaming and the fact that for some reason, Spotify doesn’t give him the level of playlisting a lot of other artists get especially upon release. Really hoping the radio impact translates to stronger playlisting this time around and much earlier than when it hits top 20/15. His singles deserve more than 20-25 million Spotify streams at their radio peaks.
