What is interesting to me is that this is already done and it only went for adds a little over 4 months ago, so it wasn't even promoted that long. I am curious if that means Big Loud has something else brewing soon with Lauren, I wanna say yes, but it is important to note in the Year End PDF, that the Big Loud section mentioned nothing about new music or radio plans (or Lauren Alaina at all), so if there is another single I would say it would be one of the songs off the EP or the Bachelor song.

None of the new material is very good. She needs to come back with something better if she wants a hit. The label change was smart and necessary but TAT was never going to be a hit, even with Lainey. It's too hokey and would have gotten horrendous callout, even if it streamed okay in the long run. It wasn't a good choice for radio. None of the songs she's released since moving to Big Loud are radio hits either. She's getting married sometime soon so I'm hoping that we'll at least get something new released after the wedding.

I wonder how things wouldâve gone if theyâd just released âA Walk in the Barâ as it seems was initially the plan. It sounded like another entry in her string of #27 nothingburgers, but I canât imagine it wouldâve bombed this badly. Iâm hopeful there are better days ahead, but Big Loudâs handling of her so far has beenâŠdisappointing, at best.

I agree that she needs a new song. While I don't think her EP is bad at all, there's no song on it that I feel like it's a radio hit. I hope she's been back on the drawing board since she released the EP and that Big Loud has a new single in mind.
About Big Loud, I think picking "Thicc as Thieves" and releasing a solo version was a bad decision but I kinda got it at that point if Lainey's team didn't greenlight the duet. But there are other things that I was expecting a better job from them too. Like, promotion in general was very weak, it seems like all they do was try to make it a TikTok hit with the same videos over and over again. The decision for her to open for Pentatonix also was weird, I don't think it did anything to her career. Still hopeful things are better for her this year.

Sad her and her former manager parted ways as Trisha saved her career not sure who is managing her now. Completely separate, but I need to know exactly what happened here. They were completely best friends, LA hyped her up in every single interview as the sole reason she had a real career after the Idol days. Something must have gone down. She is presently being managed by whoever manages Jason Aldean, I know. (Yikes at her continued alliance with those people) This person apparently has a pretty big roster of artists they manage.

I love Lauren. I think she's arguably the best raw vocalist in Nashville and has been for years. But the A&R her entire career has been totally mismanaged imo. Even "Road Less Travelled" is a bland, generic uptempo and only scraped the top because of OTV. She doesn't have a "tone" as an artist (Like Carly Pearce) and hasn't had a compelling single maybe ever imo. This song is so bad, hokey and not cute like its trying so hard to be. I'm not surprised this is falling flat. She needs to dig deep and release a project that demands peoples attention (like Kelsea did last year) if she wants a last shot at turning it around. I am rooting for her and hope she does, because she's a generational vocalist. But these white bread songs she's been putting out are just not cutting it for me. It all feels so try-hard

I just hope whatever they do, whether it be material from the EP or brand new material, they send something to radio sooner than later.

I think this is mostly correct, but I think they had a small avenue for a hit with Lainey on this. Itâs crazy enough to be a âso bad itâs goodâ song that randomly becomes a hit, but without Lainey the song made no sense. Also, the rest of the material is bland and would never work.

I heard a podcast Trisha did and she said it was her decision to split with Lauren. Sounded like she felt they reached all their goals and she didnât want to travel as much anymore. They still are good friends.
