Third studio album released on August 24, 1993. The album peaked at #16 on the Billboard 200 and #2 Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums. On January 29, 1997, the album was certified 3× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. So many great R&B albums that came out in 1993. I wish I could relive that era, even though I was only 5. I think "For In The Cool In You" album may top "Tender Lover" as my fave Babyface album. I just can't get enough of the the laidback vibe of the production. It just suits my mood. It's a stark contrast from the lovey-dovey filled ballads and uptempos found on "Tender Lover". Here, it's mostly mid-tempos and some ballads. Only "And Our Feelings" takes me back to "Tender Lover". When listening to the songs, I instantly think of evenings at home and sunsets. I feel like it's the perfect album to listen to when you just want to sit back and relaxed after a long day at work. I love all the songs on the album, but I tend to have "For The Cool In You", "Lady, Lady", "Never Keeping Secrets", "Rock Bottom", "Saturday", "Illusions", and "A Bit Old Fashioned" on repeat. Definitely his best album from the 90s. I also love the remixes for "For The Cool In You" song. Every time I listen to the title track, I think about that episode on "Family Matters" where Laura and Stefan dancing to this song in the living room. "For The Cool In You" #81 Hot 100, #10 R&B/Hip Hop, #7 Rhythmic "Never Keeping Secrets" #15 Hot 100, #3 R&B/Hip Hop, #7 Rhythmic "And Our Feelings" #21 Hot 100, #8 R&B, #38 A/C "Rock Bottom" #50 U.K. "When Can I See You" #4 Hot 100

I had this cd back in the day. I was actually more into the ballads from it and “Rock Bottom” I started appreciating the other tracks in more recent years. When it was first released I was absolutely obsessed with “Never Keeping Secrets, And Our Feelings and When Can I See You Again“. I also remember sticking “You Are So Beautiful To Me” on slow mix tapes. Great cd!!
