a popular r&b singer and producer of the 70's-90's was also a pioneer of disco. his only #1 is a great disco classic . interestingly even though this reached #1 in 1974 and spent it's entire run during the chart year it did not make the year end countdown . it was on the Hot 100 for 12 weeks which was alot less than other hits that year with four of them in the top 10.
