I thought they would for sure go with Hold My Halo or Live Off. I feel like this could be pretty polarizing and risky, but given that she has strong momentum, I would not worry too much about its performance. Personally, I do not dislike it, but it is definitely her weakest single to this day, and I would have preferred Live Off or Those Boots.

I wonder if Lainey really pulled for the release of this one, because there are many stronger songs on the album that feel like they’d smash. Like others said, she had lots of momentum right now, i this should make top 5 minimum, most likely #1.

I love this song as an album track, but not as a single. There's too many single worthy songs like "Smell Like Smoke," "Hold My Halo," and "Live Off" that deserve to be pushed at radio.

Really surprised by this choice, but I know there's been quite a bit of buzz for this one as an album cut and it seems to be a favorite of Lainey's, so I'm sure she pushed for its release as zdm1998 speculated. She's literally as on top right now as a female artist could possibly be at country radio, so I'm sure this will be a big hit for her even though it's a rather unconventional choice. Part of me likes that she's not going with one of the more obvious picks. The instrumentation on this is fantastic and she serves a really powerful vocal on it, and it fits her brand really well. Hopeful that this is another quick climb up the charts for her and paves the way for them to possibly squeeze out at least 1 more single from Bell Bottom Country in the spring before they move on to new stuff.

This is cute but as an album track. It doesn’t scream smash but she has the momentum to make anything a hit tbh.
RIP Hold My Halo though. Was really hoping for that one, but guessing they’ll probably move onto the next era after this.

I really wasn’t expecting this choice but I’m here for it. It’s different and if it hits, standing out like this will only make her bigger in the long run.

I could totally see this one struggling. Should have went with “Smell Like Smoke”. She needs something upbeat.

I hope this hits big!! It’s so country and so different for a country single in todays climate. I hope she just stays on the up and up!

I would not have picked this if I were her team. Let me be wrong, please, but I am not sure even the newly beloved Lainey Wilson is protected from the sudden turn country radio will take on women with one wrong single choice after a string of hits. See: To Hell & Back, the other girl, Cry Pretty, Footprints on the Moon...

I think if this one really hits top 3,Lainey could be following Carrie's steps as the favorite of country radio.

While this will probably not be as big as her other radio singles, I think it'll at least go Top 10/5 on both charts. It helps that radio dropped "Watermelon Moonshine" relatively fast, so it won't be a Maren situation where the smash single overshadows the follow-up.

Damn... i’ve liked most of her singles thus far (and even the ones I don’t like aren’t that bad either) but this is on a different level compared to them... really hope this does well cause this is my favorite single from her to date!

This does nothing for me at all, sounds like a very atypical radio song. I could see it going either way - her momentum is too much to stop anything right now, or it peaks at #32.

So with the CMA Awards wins I expect this to have a great radio start regardless of the callout. Whether it will be a streaming and/or radio hit in the long run is far too early to tell right now.

I really thought this one was not catchy and very unorthodox for radio
Very surprised that it climbed this quickly
I guess Lainey is more well-received by all aspects of country music than we thought she was

This has grown on me so much. It was already one of my favorite album cuts, but never stood out as a single to me.
I’m just happy to have something with more tempo from her at radio. Hoping they’ll squeeze in one more single before they move onto her next album!

With Bell Bottom Country winning Grammy for Best Country Album
So there has been 3 women(Miranda,Kacey and Lainey) who has won Best Country Album from all Grammy,CMA and ACM in the last 10 years
I gotta say really proud of these country ladies especially with country radio so stingy on offering support.

I like Bell Bottom Country well enough but it was probably my fourth option of the albums nominated (Kelsea Ballerini, Tyler Childers, and Zach Bryan had albums I liked more), but I am happy for all the success Lainey Wilson is seeing even if I find the album fine.
