This feels like more of a deluxe… and it is lowkey marketed as such. I don’t recall the last time an artist had hits off a deluxe release it’s very rare so it’s understandable why Drake is “flopping” here.

Drake flopping is so rare to see. It reminds me back to 2020 during quarantine, when he dropped that mixtape(s) and it debuted at No. 2 on Billboard 200, didn’t really affect Hot 100 and started talks on his star power “diminishing”.

"Doing all she can" and it's an irrelevant promo video I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you missed that she also released a new music video for the song this year and did red carpet interviews at the CMA Awards. This is the most visible she's been in years. At her age she can only do so much, but Brenda and her team are clearly aiming for #1, as they should. I'd also argue it's not an 'irrelevant' video because it implies Brenda and team are working with Spotify, which is really the only platform where "RATCT" outdoes "AIWFCIY." That is very relevant to the Hot 100. |

It looks like Brenda has overtaken Mariah on Spotify earlier this year than she normally does. I think before she normally overtook at the end of November or beginning of December in previous years. So that's a good sign for her #1 chances. The final week of the Christmas charts where Christmas Day falls will be her best chance because for whatever reason that's when she gets the biggest lead on streaming.
