96. under the influence (92) - so crazy how an artist can make some really great songs and then also shit like this lmao

96. Regardless of Chris Brown being a horrible person, his drunken wailing on this sounds absolutely horrid. This is one of the worst songs of the year, and would have easily been my #100 had we not had even worse from Oliver and Jason here.
91. Meh, I wouldn't defend it, but I don't mind this. Glad this was the hit instead of "Mother."

There may be a few participants that genuinely enjoy these songs, but I can guarantee a lot more didn't particularly enjoy these just because their ranks are slightly higher than where they ended up.

The bottom 2 is the most obvious shit ever lol. How did Peaches & Eggplants make it into the bottom 3 over, literally any other song in the bottom 10???? The way it's also the best song in this bottom 10. I like Under The influence too but atleast that song being down here doesn't surprise me at all. Kinda surprised Morgan only ended up with 4 songs in here instead of 5 but atleast the one that got out is the best one by a mile (though i fully expect it to be out next set). As for the other 4 songs, can this dude just stop doing trap-country, outside of like 2 songs he sucks at it. Search & Rescue is the most mid-bad Drake song ever. Why did he let this be a hit and then not even include it on FATD? Made You Look deserved bottom 5, not to barely make it into the bottom 10. This shit makes me get all the hatred for Meghan years ago, not to mention this is worse than most of those hits. And then they take up the entire top 50 on the Hot 100 and do 1 million units on just streaming alone. For every song that Drake creates like "Forever," "Find Your Love," "Hold On We're Going Home," and "Nice for What," there will always be songs like "The Motto," "Fake Love," "Started from the Bottom," and of course, "Search & Rescue." The Motto is actually good tho. Do people really hate Morgan Wallen that much to just tank all of his songs, even the good ones? We haven't revealed any of his decent songs yet, though. Yeah. I fully expect one of them to go out next set but can the other 3 atleast escape the bottom 20? |

Even though this is two spots higher than it was in last year's rankdown, it had the benefit of the most obvious bottom two ever this year. So I'd say it's relatively in the same spot. And good for that.

Not a Morgan Wallen I actively dislike, but I'm definitely not complaining seeing it this low.

100. Jason Aldean - Try That In a Small Town: LMAOOO it's so insane seeing a song getting 55 #1s but that was totally to be expected with this song.  I gave it a little more leeway with giving this my #99 sooo lol. I wish I could have got a perfect rank there but that's okay. I knew I wouldn't with putting this at #99, haha. Not surprised that this has the lowest SD either. 99. Oliver Anthony Music - Rich Men North of Richmond: Oooh yayy this is my #100 and I had a feeling this would come in at #99 so I am glad it did. The Jason song is more offensive but I like this song even less - I guess because I like his voice less. Glad my bottom 2 is cleared. Also not surprised that this has the second lowest SD. 98. Young Nudy ft. 21 Savage - Peaches & Eggplants: Lmao woww at more than a 1000 point difference between #99 and #98. That's not too shocking actually, lol. I can barely really remember this song but I see I ranked this at #85. I didn't really care much for this and I would have preferred other songs to show up before this. But I'm not mad with it showing up now. 97. Morgan Wallen - Ain't That Some: I'm okay with this being Morgan's first song to show up, as it was my #91. I did kinda find this a bit amusing but at the same time, I still didn't like it. I'm not sure if I'm surprised or expected this to be his first song to show up (but I'm just glad it wasn't "Last Night"). 96. Chris Brown - Under the Influence: I'm not surprised that this song is in the Bottom 10 but I did think it would have done a little better and escaped the Bottom 5. I kinda wish it could have as this was my #80. But regardless, this was a disappointing song to see get revived as I feel and am sure he has had much better songs that could have been a viral hit. He sounds really weird on this and I just can't adjust to it no matter how often I heard this. 95. Morgan Wallen - You Proof: Oooh lol I ranked this song at #81 so it's funny seeing the two songs I ranked back to back here. I also thought I ranked this higher as I feel I know/remember this song more than his other ones. This is alright but never did much for me and never cared much for it. 94. Drake - Search & Rescue: Oooh danggg, I'm really sad/disappointed to see this show up as this is one of my favorite Drake songs on this list where I liked it enough to rank it at #57. I'm not huge on it but I enjoyed the sound/vibe of this. Wish it had done better so it's a bummer it didn't. :( 93. Morgan Wallen - I Wrote the Book: Oooh yayyy I finally got a perfect rank, with this being my #93. Lol at the 3rd Morgan song showing up. This is my least favorite of his to show up so far and while I wish this showed up before his other two, I'm glad I got a perfect rank here. 92. Morgan Wallen - Thinkin’ Bout Me: lol the 4th Morgan song already and woww at this having the 3rd highest SD. Oh wow I ranked this highly as I ranked this at #61 - or at least ranked highly for a Morgan song. I didn't dislike this much and do kinda like it from him. I think it was one of his better songs here. 91. Meghan Trainor - Made You Look: Aww no, I'm sad to see this in the Bottom 10 as I was hoping it could do so. This is a really cute, fun and enjoyable song from Meghan. I think it's a great comeback single from her as well. I really liked this enough to give this a #26 ranking. Ugh sad to lose my first top half ranking here as well but it's expected as Meghan is polarizing. Oooh I got 6 Bottom 10s left. Not bad but hope that they can show up soon. |

Out of all the regional Mexican hits from 2023, this one felt the most generic-sounding to me, but regardless, I wouldn't call the song unlistenable.
