Also most of the Latin songs this year were much much better than 2022. There were still a few that I didn’t enjoy as much and a few are still in my bottom half but more are in my top half than bottom.

First, I want to say that Try That In A Small Town is NOT my 100, melodically it isn't too bad, it is NOT in my top half though. I fully expect it to be the 100 though so there will be no complaints on that.
Second, I am surprised that a Billie Eilish song ended up in my top half considering I am not a fan of her music. I think I ended up liking it kind of because it sounded like Lighters by Bad Meets Evil and I love that song so that helped boost it a little bit for me.
Third, I have no idea how my number 1 can do, it will be anywhere from 83 to 17. It's a wild card and I am not sure how it is felt, could be polarizing.
Fourth, if my number 1 ends up top 30, then I also expect my 2 to 5 to be very high too which means I may not lose a top 5 for a while depending how my 1 goes.
Fifth, yes like usual, there are a few songs in my bottom 10 that will go forever, including 2 top 10. Mainly my 92 and 95. I think my 99 is somewhere in the top 30 too.
Lastly, I will be looking forward to see how this Rankdown goes.

I heard Try That In A Small Town the other day and I immediately loved the sound and for me it was the best sounding song from Jason Aldean in a long time, it was so fun and catchy right away. Then I found out the lyrics. Now I am annoyed. THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS!! WHY DO THEY MAKE THE WORST SONGS SOUND SO GOOD THAT YOU FEEL PISSED OFF LIKING THEM!! I had the same reaction to Am I The Only One. They made the sound so great and pleasant but then everything else about the lyrics was bad. It makes me feel bad to like them. Why can't the bad lyrically songs be more boring and annoying so I can easily hate them without feeling ashamed to say I like them because of how amazing everything that is not the lyrics sound... |
