I didn't love "Waffle House" on first listen, but it slowly grew on me. The SZA remix of "Special" is pretty good, I would have ranked it decently high.

Hey Driver is better than I Remember Everything imo. The harmonies are everything and it's probably the best spare song on the album. Special is fine. I'm not a big fan of mid-2010s empowerment anthems and this kinda falls into that territory. That said it is above average because Lizzo and SZA are better singers. Pardon the pun but Good Good is really good lmao. The production is kinda wonky but i haven't seen a breakup song like this chart, possibly ever. And honestly i would love to see more of this type of breakup song chart. Fall In Love is another one of the country songs that grew on me a lot this year. Not his best song but god it's close (speaking of which, yeah it's not his best song either but can we PLEASE make Where It Ends a hit). Waffle House is definitely the type of song that some would call terrible, some would call a guilty pleasure, and some would unironically like. And honestly given this is better than most of the other songs i think fall in that category, i think it's pretty clear where i stand lol. Honestly Like Crazy didn't deserve to have the meme chart run it got cause the song is actually pretty good. I'd certainly would've have taken it becoming a proper hit over Seven (though 3D is better than both) Morgan Wallen distorted is so funny lmao. |

Unpopular opinion, but I think "Last Night" would be on the higher half of Morgan Wallen songs on this YE list, alongside I guess "One Thing at a Time", "Thought You Should Know", and "Thinkin' Bout Me"
Though I don't think there's a Morgan Wallen song that will hit the Top 50, I won't be surprised if all of the Morgan Wallen songs are in the bottom 25 (maybe 1 or 2 songs barely got out of that range)

I can name like 5 songs that may have a shot, I don’t think Cruel Summer is that that obvious of a winner like how Running Up That Hill and Levitating were the last 2 years. It’s still possible but I feel like it’s a bit less slightly obvious, if that makes sense. Like felt like the last 2 years were more obvious. I can see a few other songs that could have a shot to win too. |
