This will be Swift’s 66th week leading the album chart, only one week away from tying The King’s 67 weeks on top. The Beatles hold the record for the most weeks by an act at #1 with 132. Swift also leads an impressive showing this week from Republic with the label group possibly owning the Top 5 and 10 of the Top 20. If the rankings hold, the House of Lipman will become the first label group to hold down the entire Top 5 in a single week. We should note, however, that our projections put Reprise’s Michael Bublé just outside the Top 5, setting it up as a possible spoiler on the week’s final chart. In addition to Bublé’s Christmas album, other holiday perennials from Mariah Carey, Nat King Cole and Vince Guaraldi make their first appearance of the season inside the Top 20.

Pure sales for this week, particularly vinyl, should be relatively good overall thanks to Record Store Day on Black Friday. But none of those releases had much in terms of amount available to manage to make the top 20, but maybe a few of those can make the top 50.

Taylor's chokehold continues. History is playing out.
It's OBVIOUSLY important to keep in mind that the Billboard charts are of their time, which is not a drag of Drake or Taylor. It is what it is. Tay is bossing the entire chart universe IN HER TIME. That's how it's done, and the only criteria... really. Cry more if you don't get it and want to be like BUT BUT BUT streaming .....
We know. keep the appropriate context in check and you'll live another day without hyperventilating.

Do it 2025 Super Bowl week with her at the performer.Chefs kiss. no that's the thing: she doesnt even need a special occasion to accomplish this. she sold like 600k 40 bucsk vinyls and another 600k of normal unsigned CDs of ONE album, twice now with 1989tv and midnights. she definitely has the pull to sell out all 100k limited CDs on 10 different albums in any given moment. all it takes is is for there to be no new relesses and the #1 to be lower than 100k and she'll guarantee bag it. |
