My only issue with these re-issues, and it is not against Nicki personally - MANY have done it. Is the fact that fans who bought the album have to shell out $5 more to get 1 new song per day. That to me is just rude lol There is nothing wrong with the fact she is doing it though, any artist can do this. The charts have always been a game and it is fine to partake in it. I just get upset when an artist I love drops new material the next day and you have to pay such a high extreme until it goes to streaming or whatnot but that's just me.

If I actually collected physicals I would probably wait a few months considering the way Nicki, Taylor and some others just drop better editions that screw anyone who supports week one.

Yeah, the way some of these artists do pre-orders for editions that are missing much of the album is just bleh. You'd think fans would raise it as an issue, but I guess stan worship has brainwashed people into actually finding joy in buying multiple copies anyways.

It feels like some type of deceptive selling practice and it should be required to either let customers know when they pre-order that other versions/editions are planned to be released in a close date or give them the option to switch the purchase if the order hasn't shipped yet.

Imagine how annoying it'd be if you pre-ordered a brand new iPhone 15 Pro for release day and then Apple suddenly surprise releases iPhone 15 Pro 2.0 with even more features, storage, and etc the next day to boost sales after you've already received your phone.

Nicki is doing much better than I could have predicted. She is incredibly messy but has sneaky career longevity and I think a lot of gen z is captivated by her personality and nostalgia. Like her or not, she is on a different level compared to the 'boring' and 'relatable' popstars that never cause any drama and I think people are attracted to that.

I think Billboard should start separating versions of albums with different tracklists. From now on, an album would chart as:
Artist - Album
Artist - Album Deluxe
Artist - Album Target Deluxe

They're not. They have explicitly stated that doing raffles/competitions with criteria directly requiring that fans purchase music is against the rules. It caused Travis's digital sales for "Meltdown" to be removed for the final day of the tracking week after his team announced a raffle for merchandise if you purchase the song.

Barbz just wouldn't be familiar that this has effected other artists because they don't go on Twitter screaming their sales were lowered for not following rules and then claiming it was a personal vendetta against them.

I can't say I'm surprised when Nicki does this. She really thinks the industry is out to get her, when in actuality, these rules have affected others. It's just that those artists don't go on social media tangents about it. She knows the Barbs are easily manipulated and would carry a narrative that Nicki is the only artist the industry "hates." It's ridiculous at this point.

Travis didn't even announce it, people from his team announced the raffle and the sales for Thursday were thrown out (the day the raffle was announced).

The rules verbatim say "There can be no contesting or incentives to the consumer to buy an album in return for — or a chance to win access to — goods or experiences (whether virtual or actual)". She went against the explicitly stated rules. She's not a victim, and she's not being personally targeted.

This is the issue with her... narcissistic and doesn't take self-accountability. Besides her refusing to acknowledge she simply broke the outlined rules, the whole rollout has been a mess. She announced the album 6 months in advance and had plenty of time to complete it and have a perfect rollout.

She still half-assed it, got everything done the night before, and had to start doing things with no planning. Any shortfall with sales and the criticism of the album clearly sounding a rushed mess comes down to her own lack of professionalism with handling the album.
