Since the archived chart data site of R&R and Mediabase Top 40 pop songs are temporarily offline (or may or may not be permanent or whatever, give or take) Some of the users, including me are wanting to make our own R&R/Mediabase chart database of songs that have charted from 1973 to the present. One of my ideas is not only putting out the chart data of the songs that have hit the top 30/40/50, but also including songs that are New and Active, or songs that have a lot of chart action, but not making it to the charts, same with Significant Action songs, spin data of songs that were on the chart, audience impression data, and many other radio formats for many artists, such as Rhythmic, Urban, R&B, AC, Hot AC, Rock, Active Rock, Alternative and Triple A format charts. I was also thinking about reccurrent spin data for songs that have left the chart for being on there for so many weeks but still have a lot of spins, etc. Not only I'm one of the sponsors, but also bat1990 , Rose "Payola" Nylund , Az Paynter and Au$tin are all on board with this idea. This way, we will have the most accurate data and information for songs that have charted for more than 50 years.

Thanks 70jack90. 1. We may want to include Hot AC Archiver as well to see if they have a system for tracking and storing the Hot AC charts. 2. For my part, I have archived 2/3rds of the Eurochart Hot 100 from Music & Media magazine. I made a giant Excel spreadsheet where I could quickly enter each weekly chart and it would find the song from the previous week so I only had to manually type out new chart entries. Then I had a process to import those Excel records into Access so I could query them and generate reports. I'm sure it's not the best way, but we could probably build off of the idea. 3. As far as how to do this, I was thinking we could make a private folder on OneDrive or Google Drive so only people who were invited could see the actual data. That way it wouldn't be found on search engines and we wouldn't get a cease & desist from anyone (as far as I'm aware of how that works).

Dang! We can get Mediabase Pop from August 2008 to present from this board alone! That's over 15 years

I'm 100% down in helping secure and input data for our own archive.

I can also help with that. I actually have complete Excel workbooks for 1987 and 1997-2005 that I've created using that World Radio History site. I only have the songs and weekly positions (not the gains and losses, or N&A info). I am currently working on 1988. Each year has its own Excel workbook and each genre has its own tab within the workbooks. If anyone would like me to send them an example, would be happy to.
I did this because I wanted to see weekly charts next to each other and follow a song's run from week to week on one screen

I have scans of the Hot AC charts (including New & Active) from its inception in 1994. They are in pdf format by year

Hey everyone, I am so sorry about the hiatus that the archive site went on - as you might know if you messaged me, I was contacted by an annoying 'copyright' bot or some such that threatened fines because of one of the pictures I used on the artist pages, so to be on the safe side I pulled everything down temporarily. I'm removing all the images from the site and should HOPEFULLY have it back online - at the same web address(es) as before, but without the artist pictures. I appreciate everyone's kind words on here and was just as frustrated as you about having to take it down! As for all the great ideas about creating an alternate archive/spreadsheet, other formats, etc. those are all great ideas. For my part, I don't know if I'll be able to update the new song runs since 2022 but maybe I'll be able to get to those eventually. For now, enjoy the pages in their current state once it's back up.
