15. Po Pimp - Do Or Die feat. Twista: Ooh wow I didn't realize or remember having this song at #20, lmao oops. I guess I ranked it this high for Twista as I really liked his part a lot here. 14. When It Rain - Danny Brown: Oooh finally my lowest ranking song left is gone, as this was my #49. I didn't know this song and I did not care for this hence my low ranking. But yayy lucy88 for also ranking this at #49 too. 13. How We Gonna Make The Black Nation Rise? - Brother D & Collective Effort: Aww dangg, sad to see my #16 drop out before many of my other lower ranks. :( But still glad my Top 10s are still remaining. Oooh wow I also didn't expect this to be so polarizing to have the 5th highest SD. But I do really like this one. 12. Joints & Jam - The Black Eyed Peas: Danggg, I had a really bad feeling I was going to lose another one of my Top 10 songs before the Top 10 - with this being my #10. Ugh, sad and disappointed about that. I'm happy that this song made it this far but I was hoping this could have made it higher as this is my 2nd highest ranking song left. Happy that there are 4 Top 10 ranks here though. 11. Da' Dip - Freak Nasty: LMAOO Danggg, wow.... so once again I lose my new second highest ranking with my #12 showing up. And also just missed a perfect rank but one spot. Ugh dang.... sad to see this song show up as I've always really liked this and thought this was a fun silly song. Songs I got left: 2 19 22, 23, 25, 27, 28 36, 40 41 Oooof I am doing absolutely TERRIBLE here. I only love my #2. I am rooting for that to win but it probably won't make the Top 5 with my luck. Don't really care much for this Top 10 but I hope others are doing well with having many of their favorites here lol.

10. The Symphony - Marley MarlBorn and raised in Queens, Marlon Williams is known primarily as a DJ and producer. He teamed up with DJ Mr. Magic to form the Juice Crew which included artists like Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Kool G Rap, and Roxanne Shante. In 1988 he released his debut album In Control, Vol. 1. The single "The Symphony" features Juice Crew members Masta Ace, Craig C, Kool G Rap, and Big Daddy Kane, and peaked at #20 on the rap chart in 1989. Samples "Hard To Handle" by Otis Redding and has itself been sampled numerous times. Rolling Stone named it one of their 50 greatest hip hop songs of all time. 13. How We Gonna Make The Black Nation Rise? - Brother D & Collective Effort
"How We Gonna Make The Black Nation Rise?" was released in 1980 by Brother D (Daryl Nubyahn) and several people who made up Collective Effort. Samples "Got To Be Real" by Cheryl Lynn and is considered the first political hip hop song.
This might be a record for the longest a song I ranked at the near bottom has lasted in a rankdown, LOL. I mean, I get it's a positive message, but...c'mon, y'all! Also, glad you kids at least ranked The Symphony top 10, because that is a hip-hop classic. It's nice to see real hip-hop championed over these off-beat Soundcloud rappers.

"Black Nation" is a banger, I don't see what there is to hate about it 🤷 even Beyoncelover thinks it's good, and we rarely agree lol (especially on songs that are discoveries for them (using "them" because I don't know your gender ))

6. Lovin' It - Little BrotherLittle Brother was formed in Durham, North Carolina by rappers Phonte (Phonte Coleman), Big Pooh (Thomas Jones), and DJ 9th Wonder (Pat Douthit), and were members of the collective Justus League. Their 2005 single "Lovin' It", which features Joe Scudda, helped its parent album The Minstrel Show become their most successful album to date. Samples "One Night Affair" by The Stylistics. 9th Wonder left the group in 2007 due to creative differences, and Phonte and Big Pooh would go their separate ways in 2010. All three members reunited on stage in 2018. I'm peachy keen on anything that isn't "Cantaloop" winning, but I'm expecting the top song to be "I Wish".

10. The Symphony - Marley Marl: Ahhh this in enoyable enough song that I had around the middle of my rankings - liked this enough for a #28 ranking. It was just okay bit I wish I could have liked it more to give it a higher rnaking - but at least it made it to the Top 10.
9. Self Care - Mac Miller: Oooh yayy this is one of my lower remaining ranks - my second lowest - which is my #40 ranking. I didn't really care too much for this song but well done for this to make it to the Top 10. Ooh wow I'm tied for the lowest rank with B-Boy... very interesting.
8. Sound Of Da Police - KRS-One: Oh wow this got the 6th highest SD - wow that is quite a polarizing song. I don't think I had heard this song before but I liked it enough to give it a #22 ranking. But aww I noticed this song is my 3rd highest ranking left so I wish this could have made it higher based off of these songs.
7. Definition - Black Star: Ooh okay so this song is my #27 - not among my highest or not amomgst my lowest left. I don't have a big opinion on this song but it was just fine. And yeah fine with this showing up now.
6. Lovin' It - Little Brother: This is my lowest ranking left, which is my #41 so yay I'm glad to see this show up now and finally clear out of my Bottom 10. It took far too long, lmao.
Songs I got left: 2 19 23, 25 36
Happy that my #2 is still in the game! I would love to see that song pull off the win but I doubt that will happen. But Top 5 is still a win!

5. Looking At The Front Door - Main SourceBased in Queens and Toronto, Main Source consisted of Large Professor, DJ J.O.D., K-Cut, and Sir Scratch. Their first charted single came in 1990 with the release of "Looking At The Front Door". It topped the rap chart and contains a sample of "Think Twice" by Donald Byrd. Large Professor left the group and went on to produce for artists like Eric B. & Rakim and Nas, while K-Cut produced for artists like Big Pun and Queen Latifah. The original members of Main Source performed together in 2002 for the first time in nearly a decade. 2. Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia) - Us3Us3 was formed in London by producer Geoff Wilkinson. They're best known for their 1993 single "Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia)". Built on a sample of "Cantaloupe Island" by Herbie Hancock, it peaked at #21 on the R&B chart and #9 on the Hot 100. It also contains a sample of "Announcement By Pee Wee Marquette" by the Art Blakey Quintet. Points: 478 Average: 14.23 Standard Deviation: 10.772 (14th lowest)🇯🇲 dollybaby 🇯🇲 - 3 Soulsista - 4 Ivy Leegue™ - 4 American Idiot - 7 B-Boy - 8 willapted33 - 11 rowellfarm490 - 11 BB🌕 - 12 singingrulebritannia - 13 beyoncelover - 19 312999 - 25 jtd Thee Stallion - 31 SHOOTER - 37 Observingwrip
And now, the only song everyone had in their top half... 1. I Wish - Skee-LoBorn in Chicago and raised in New York and California, Antoine Roundtree released his debut album I Wish in 1995. The title track was his debut single, peaking at #8 on the rap chart, #33 on the R&B chart, and #13 on the Hot 100. Samples "Spinnin'" by Bernard Wright and "Buffalo Gals" by Malcolm McLaren and the World's Famous Supreme Team and contains an interpolation of "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield. It received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Solo Performance. Skee-Lo retired just months after the album's release due to a dispute with his label Sunshine; he claimed that he didn't make any money from the album. He came out of retirement in the early 2000s and released a second album. He then took another hiatus before returning to music in the 2010s. 5. Looking At The Front Door - Main Source: Ooh this is the song that's in the middle of my remaining 5 songs, which this is my #23. Not familiar with this song but it's fine and I liked it, but it wasn't a big favorite of mine like it was with most people.
4. Put It On - Big L feat. Kid Capri: Oooh nicee, this is my lowest remaining ranking left, as this song was my #36. So I'm more than good with this showing up now.
3. Distortion To Static - The Roots: And nice now my next lowest ranked song shows up, with this being my #25. This is a cool and enjoyable song from The Roots, though not one of my major favorites from them.
2. Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia) - Us3: This is a pretty cool and enjoyable song. I liked this enough to give this a #19 ranking. Of the last two songs, I'm glad that this didn't win as I was rooting for the other song. But wow it's crazy impressive how this song got all the way to 2nd without any Top 2 rankings from us. :o
1. I Wish - Skee-Lo: Oooh nicee, I'm SO glad that "I Wish" ended up winning this rankdown. I really love this song and think this song is such a classic jam. I ranked this at #2, but I tell ya... it was insanely difficult for me between this and my #1, I kept going back and forth and didn't know how to compare the two. I wish I could have given this my #1 spot so I could have had a perfect ranking but oh well. I love that this song got 3 #1s and is the only song with all of its ranks in the Top 25. That's very impressive. Wow that's quite an interesting story on Skee-Lo regarding his music career. I had no idea he retired just months after the success of this song and the album it came from. :o Even though I didn't do well in this rankdown, this is an amazing way to end this rankdown!
This was yet another fun and fantastic rankdown from, SoulSista! Looking forward to the final installment of this game (even though I don't think I will do well on it).
