- Unlovable is like *almost* there for me, but there's something about that song that just rubs me the wrong way. Glad that Sex Drugs Etc. finished higher. I have a feeling we won't see this band on the alt charts again, idk they just kinda have that "2-hit wonder" vibe fwiw they're currently charting again on The Maine's "thoughts i have while lying in bed", so they're not dead yet! |

super shocked to see eat your young get surpassed by wilderado and inhaler (not bad bands just not as good as that hozier song). one of my favs
Also, it's crazy how I feel like my fav alt station could've helped some of these songs a bit (Emotion Sickness, or charting songs like The Way (which I love) if they just rotated the new music more)
what's absolutely shocking however is Hilary was so unsure to play LosT on her new music show and I was told they weren't fans of it, which is a shame. Emopop banger and it sounded good.

It's super fun nerding with what my station plays with all of these songs and what they don't. Really regret the OCD getting to me, loving this list.
However I think the most shocking and upsetting song I wish and you'd think XTRA would be all over is coming soon on this list.

Don't get the appeal of this at all. On the other hand this is probably considered like Fierce "Wilderness" to somebody? 53. Måneskin - The LoneliestThat's a pretty lonely sounding song there. 52. Grouplove - HelloThis one is passable. I still believe "Cheese" should have been the hit. 51. Post Malone - ChemicalReally hate it when acts I don't love put out passable catchy songs. Wrong Post Malone song out first.  50. Noah Kahan and Post Malone - Dial Drunk"Wilderness" x2. This is just too banjo fierce for me. 49. Metallica - Lux ÆternaI'm the only one who heard a little bit of Sleaze Metal vibe ion this song? Maybe them bottom tankers heard it too?  48. Cannonballers - Colony House This one had its moments. Particularly the psychedelic surf vibe guitars in the verses. Unfortunately the chorus is the downfall for me. Wonder what they will follow up with? 47. Portugal. The Man f/ Unknown Mortal Orchestra - Summer of LuvThis indie chill vibe was alright. Needs better vocals. The Wombats would work for me. 46. Jack White - A Tip From Me To YouGot some decent Stones vibes here. Probably would have grown on me if I had played it more. 45. Manchester Orchestra - The WayI honestly couldn't recall what this band has sounded like in the past, but I'm not a fan of these ballad type sleepers. You can hear a huge difference from say this, and that Jack White song we just heard. 44. Pierce The Veil - Emergency ContactI saw I had this in my mp3 archives, but must have completely forgotten about it? This time is became my favorite rediscovery. This is a banger. Kinda like Grunge met Poppunk. I'm guessing it might have been a bit too loud for some, but just right for me. In other news now that it's out I can finally start charting it. I liked it that much. 43. Bring Me The Horizon - LostLOL! That intro totally reminded me of Falling In Reverse "Bad Girls Club". This is another one I would have most likely charted if there wasn't so much Hair Metal coming out of Sweden these days. Anyway, my high rank reflects that I like this song just fine. 42. All Time Low - SleepwalkingDecent song. A bit too indiepop for them, but as a song I enjoyed it. 41. The Maine - Blame Some of you need to tickle your melodic funny bone more often.  This is what I consider a perfect song for this chart or even a pop chart. Such a banger. Love his fast vocal delivery. I feel like Third Eye Blind 2.0 would sound like this. This song finally out peaked "American Girls" on my chart history. I guess you know what my #1 song is now?  EXTRA:Too Good at Raising Hell - The StrutsModern day Kings of Glam Rock. Totally my rock groove. This would have been in my top 5. |

Since I wasn't present during yesterday's reveals:
38. Not my favorite newer Hozier song, but I still like it a good amount.
37. Mehfire.
36. IMO, it kinda sounds like an outtake from Beck's 2018 album. It doesn't sound bad, but still.
35. And there goes my first top 10 loss. While it is a posthumous release for the 20th anniversary of Meteora, and while I think there are a lot of better LP songs than this, I still think of it as a welcome return of the classic LP sound.
34. I still wish I could get the appeal for Inhaler. I'm willing to move past the whole nepotism label, but the band's sound still feels like something I've heard several times before.
33. The glow-up from MANIA to So Much (for) Stardust is impressive, and songs like "Hold Me Like a Grudge" are of good indication of that.
32. I was somewhat surprised to see that song would last as long as it did since I already noticed how 100 gecs is the type of band whose music is clearly not for everyone.
31. It's a very decent indie rock song, but I wouldn't put this above "Hollywood Baby."
30. I know the ranking has little to do with Matty Healy's recent public image, but I still think this is a pretty big loss, since I have considered this to be one of the band's best singles.
29. Not a fan of this as much as "Scared Together," but it's still another great song from Silversun Pickups.
28. I was never really big on Dayglow when he first charted, but this song in particular ticks a lot of boxes in what makes a good retro 80s pastiche.
27. I've been impressed with what this guy has been putting out to date.
26. Now this is the kind of active rock that alternative stations need to pay more attention to. This was a grower for me too, so it took some time for me to really appreciate it.

Both FOB songs did better than any previous songs from them did, even their 2005-2007 stuff. Neat.
This was such a great comeback, especially after that stuff from 2017 and 2019
