1). Cruel Summer 2). Lover 3). Death By A Thousand Cuts
While I love Lover, it truthfully wasn't a very commercial album. The singles that were, the quality was lacking (Me, YNTCD, and the Man).
They could have easily been fixed.
Me! - take out the spelling line and rewrite the entire chorus something like " Even if you're gonna leave, I promise that you'll never find another like me. "
You Need to Calm Down - she should have either addressed LGBTQ+ issues or made it a song addressing her haters - to do both was clunky.
The Man - great lyrics, some of the worst production to date. Literally sounds like a Disney track. Beef up the production.
Because of this, I only picked three singles.
Cruel Summer - being her opening track would have been amazing. A huge big budget video and a killer song. I think it would have been a smash, not sure if it would have been as big as it is now.
Lover - with that momentum, I think Lover would be a bigger hit and hopefully that Shawn duet would never see the light of day.
Death By A Thousand Cuts - end off with a fan favorite. Think it would have done moderately well, but would have been something different for her.
Then covid strikes

I'd say so, especially since album listening became more prevalent in the streaming era vs. the digital sales much to everyone's surprise.

OK, here is a dumb question. do you think she will eventually release the entire Anthology version on CD and Vinyl? Many would love the complete set. Just wondering.

Maybe?
As long as she can get it to all count for the OG album. If she drops a standalone Anthology CD it would count as a new entry on the BB200.
But I don't think we got a definitive pressing of Midnights with all tracks did we? The Late Night Edition CD cut a few tracks.

Yeah I didn't realize there was never a physical version of 'Til Dawn since that's been my definitive version of Midnights on Spotify. I suppose it was Late Night.
3 Am in its entirety never got a physical release either right?

I know the song isn't popular but we still don't have "Sweeter Than Fiction (Taylor's Version)" on streaming yet.
But yeah, we never got all of the Midnights versions on physical. Some of them left off "Paris" and "Glitch".

Everybody knows Lover has a special place in my heart. The album has some of her very best, glistening moments. It’s just fucking clunky! She truly needed (needs…) someone to go through her album tracklists with a big permanent marker to move things around and also just be like “no”.

It's always so funny how stans are always citing "Getaway Car", but it's clear "Don't Blame Me" is the golden child of Rep. 🤭❤️

My jaw literally dropped the first time I heard it. If she doesn’t give it the single treatment it deserves with rep (TV) I will never forgive her.

I love Getaway Car too, but yeah Don't Blame Me is excellent. Best track from Rep (head to head with Delicate). The first time I heard that Flume-esque drop at 1:06... oof.

"I Did Something Bad" remains my favorite song from reputation but "Don't Blame Me" is a great one too.

Yall, I implore you…go listen to MBOBHFT. It is THAT bitch. A smash. And I won’t hear a word against it.
By the time the bridge hits I’m already a mess. Then it’s just BAM - stole my tortured heart, told me I’m better off, but I’m not. MVP. The lyrics CUT. And the production SLAPS.

Then it’s just BAM - stole my tortured heart, told me I’m better off, but I’m not. MVP. The lyrics CUT. And the production SLAPS. I understand why people go for "MBOBHFT" (even I did initially) because it's easily one of the more obvious traditionally melodic pop songs on TTPD (where there are few) while its production has that old familiar Born To Die/Lana rehashed sound heard on previous tracks like "MA&THP" and "WD", that many fans love on Taylor (myself included), but to me the production feels like it's missing oopmh. Like, the chorus needs much stronger bass and the song itself needs more of a punch to it production-wise. As is, it's fine, but it comes across a bit one-note to me with not enough distinction between the verses and chorus so they blend together a bit too much, which a good remix (Taylor isn't exactly known for those mind you) could potentially rectify. Honestly they might as well just plug it up after the second single and have her lay low for a bit, because the third single isn't going to do much anyway at this point though personally if I had to pick my choice would be "Down Bad" (its always struck me as the "Delicate" of TTPD). Regardless it's not like she needs another top 15 peak. lol

It's my aesthetic and my fave side of Taylor, musically and lyrically. I am OK with Don't Blame Me, but because of the dubstep-lite production, it hasn't aged well for me, plus it has one of my all-time least favorite vocal moments (the "belt" she does in the final section when the music drops - it's comical and painful at the same time.)

Billionaire Barbie better have 4 MVs ready to go for Rep (TV) and she better give us promo. I want a two month pre-order period where every two weeks she releases a promo single with MV and vinyl/remixes. In my perfect little world all singles go #1 for their 2 week runs.
It’ll go:
Week 1: Don’t Blame Me (gets sent to radio) Week 3: I Did Something Bad Week 5: Getaway Car Week 7: Vault Single (gets sent to radio)
The MVs make an entire storyline with I Did Something Bad and Don’t Blame Me being prequels to the LWYMMD MV and Getaway Car/new Vault Single being sequels.

The best parts of Down Bad and But Daddy I Love Him Absolutely *love* the backing vocals on ‘Down Bad’ - especially on the last chorus where she goes up for “I might just NOT get UP!” I didn’t notice it until I listened to Dolby on Apple Music.

Regardless it's not like she needs another top 15 peak. lol Well whatever the reasons, which I’m not really sure of nor do I care so much about, it’s done nothing but grow on me since album release. Really the whole album has, but this one has surprisingly, at least for me, risen to the top of the heap - after what must be hundreds of full album listens. I actually think it’s up there in my top Taylor tier now, along with Cruel Summer, ATW10MV, OOTW, Maroon, Anti-Hero, cardigan, Getaway Car, etc. I typically can become obsessed with a specific type of Taylor song and My Boys fits that type like a glove. Down Bad in comparison, while I still enjoy it and don’t skip it, has definitely decreased in my overall rankings. I won’t pretend that one or the other would make a better single. I’m not sure there is anything left for radio here (except for My Boys by your traditional pop song logic) but I really hope we get one or two more videos.

Even if they did not push a third single, this album has sold so well!~
I hope they do try with a third single. No rush for Rep TV. that can wait a minute.

Some thoughts about various things:
1. There were some Twitter rumors swirling that she filmed a video for "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" and I could see that being dropped as a video-only single like "Bejeweled." It could be a nice transition to Rep TV depending on what the hypothetical video is like.
2. My favorite Rep track is "Dancing With Our Hands Tied" except for the production in the chorus which is VERY dated to the mid-2010s. But the talk of her releasing some full-on dance music on a future album makes me think of the production under the verses of that song.
3. I'm generally okay with her track sequencing, though I am plugging this playlist I made again that got lost at the bottom of a page, for you all to discuss/judge/agree.

There's never been any solid proof the Who's Afraid video is real and at this point since she did not give the second single one I'm gonna guess it was fake news. I fully expect her team to release “Don’t Blame Me” and for it to blow up. MANIFEST IT! Yaaaas! This is giving me "Enchanted is finally gonna be a #1 single with Speak Now TV and the push they're gonna give it". Would love to be wrong. I also feel like DBM has done well enough that it has little room to grow now. If they truly wanna push something old... Getaway Car is still there and is still a relatively hidden gem.

Getaway Car is the Cruel Summer of Rep.
It should not have been passed over.
My single choices:
Look What You Made Me Do Getaway Car Don't Blame Me Delicate
Still start with Look, very polarizing, but buzzworthy and has her best video to date.
Getaway Car would have been an easier transition from 1989 as the second single. Plus, I think it could have had a killer video.
Don't Blame Me could have had a sexy villain video and I think it would also do well on radio.
Lastly, release Delicate - I think with the choices above it would have had an easier time to smash.
