Very smart to get this rising in Hot Ac before Lose Control peaks as The Door isn’t as immediate but definitely a strong follow up. That way, they can send it to pop when they officially send it for adds on HAC.

Honestly i like this as much as Lose Control. Having an actual groove behind him is definitely a boon.

I'm happy to see this getting added. I'd argue it's so much better than "Lose Control".

(BTW, someone can combine this thread and the one that was initially made in non-radio singles.)

This one continues to grow on me actually and the fact that before its radio push- it’s nearly top 40 on iTunes singles, nearly 500k daily streams on Spotify alone and already at almost 150k Shazam’s (for comparison a good amount of songs in the top 30-20 on pop have similar numbers).

IMO, I don’t think I see the level of crossover potential with this that Lose Control had with AAA, Rhythmic, R&B, HAC & Pop radioplay nor the viral potential such as the #LoseControlChallenge playing on that signature run but STILL. This one feels like it’s going to be one of those cases where the breakthrough single doesn’t completely overshadow the follow up. I think Lose Control will still have life & longevity on Rhythmic and R&b after it peaks on Pop and HAC making way for this on HAC and Pop, possibly even AAA. Envisioning a stronger peak on HAC than pop but could definitely be wrong.

I just heard this for the first time yesterday and this is really good! I like this better than "Lose Control." I think Dwindeezy is right that this probably won't have the same crossover potential, but it would be cool if it could chart on Pop.

I actually just heard this on Portland local AAA station 101.9 and after the DJ said 10/10 track and great follow up to Lose Control mentioning it’s on top of the charts right now. Listening to it on air among other songs, I could definitely see a possible top 10 AAA with this too. Something about its production fit in very well too.

I find this ones run mad interesting. With a kind of artist like Teddy, I think Warner is very smart to allow Lose Control to die down quite a bit before fully pushing this as those sleeper/slow burning breakthrough hits usually have some of the strongest longevity plus they are still utilizing his radio budget on this for r&b and Rhythmic radio as this is still gaining there at #5 and #15, respectively. I definitely see a R&B #1/ Top 10 Rhythmic finish for Lose Control with a more focused push for this when it peaks on those formats. Warner seems to have the opposite strategy with Teddy vs. Benson Boone in that Benson's breakthrough made a much stronger immediate impact on sales, streams and fast radio climb, which bodes well for higher debut albums & constant radio presence, as compared to Teddy's more slow burn with sales, streams and radio support, which I feel bodes stronger for longevity with albums and singles. I think this will also probably lend to Teddy having much longer album eras than Benson. I use Benson for comparison because I feel like Teddy and Benson are Warners (and radios) top two new male breakthrough "pop" artists right now and that's A LOT of resources for the label so they have to play it smart. 

I see this being another sleeper/ slow burn hit just like Lose Control as it's Shazams, streams and sales are strong and still increasing with less than 3 million audience on radio. I think once LC dies down more on HAC and POP, and peaks on R&B and Rhythmic- this will probably be entering the top 15 on HAC then we'll see a pop push along with this taking off on HAC as it's spent a good amount of time gaining slowly.

I don't know how I swept on Teddy (I have somehow completely avoided Lose Control until today when I played the vinyl), but I am here to stay! As a bonus, I get to see him at ACL this fall. Love his voice, love his songs, love the production on his album. What a talent. This song is one of the standouts of the album, so I hope it does well! Glad to see it's at least Top 10 at HAC!
