Ouch at JT! He's doing less than Usher. 🤢 Usher had the SB promo. I'm sure without all that buzz leading up to it, it would have been much lower. At the end of the day, JT is going to make all his money from touring anyway. Justin last album he had the SB boost as well and people were aware he had an album out. |

Also, I have yet to see a single review (and only 9 outlets are even bothering to review his album on Metacritic) that doesn't bring up Britney x Janet. It's a bit ridiculous, but then again, music "critics" very rarely focus on the actual music they are being tasked with reviewing. The album is better than MOTW and 20/20 Part II at least (and I would even say tied with FS/LS as his second best) and the tour will kill, so it is what it is. |

^Lover might still manage to edge Dangerous this week. Plus, once Taylor releases her new album, Dangerous will hopefully be finally done with the top 10 of the Billboard 200.

Speaking of Usher, after only 4 weeks, Coming Home has completely left the Billboard 200, his shortest charting solo studio set by far. Even Hard II Love had 14 weeks and his debut had 12.

Wild that Morgan is still in the top 3 and that he beat JT's new release. Very happy for another week at the top for Ari. This album is a smash. Glad the public is responding. Also, Kacey posted solid numbers! Love to see a strong fanbase!

While his reputation certainly has played a role, I think the biggest factor to Justin’s decline is, while he’s taken breaks in the past it was after successful albums. Man of the woods had one moderate hit and then a few flops. You need to recover from that, not take half a decade off

By that logic, Man of the Woods should not have flopped. It opened well though and he had the SB exposure. People were looking for and interested in the next JT album. Don't think that's the case this time. To some extent, I feel like your opening week or so is informed by the performance of your last album and the strength of your name. Then you have to sustain it. |
