I don't get the lack of airplay for End Of Beginning, it's such a radio-friendly song and has great streaming. On the other hand, Timberlake's non-event single is one of the greatest gainers and currently at #12 (you can't find it on streaming charts). Also, Hozier's song is great, but 3M+ streams great? I don't know...Actually I don't think it's even great, so it's success, like the Benson Boone song, is really a head-scratcher to me. But because it's doing so well and maintaining such high streams for almost two weeks, you would think it's radio would also have taken off much more by now. It currently only has 280k impressions, and isn't even making a splash on AAA or Alternative yet. His label seems to be really poor at promoting it. I don't know what they're waiting for?!! |

2024 freshmen class is going crazy; Djo, Benson Boone, Teddy Swims and now Artemis pulling out huge hits. I don't know... I absolutely agree with you. It is rather frustrating seeing how slow radio is with responding to a song that has great streaming. Airplay should be rapidly increasing for End of Beginning. It should be in the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 region now. |

No doubt, the UMG battle with TikTok is definitely at the center of these indie artists experiencing this unprecedented levels of success. I really hope this leads to a boom year for them, akin to 2012.

“End Of Beginning” should definitely be rising faster on radio than it is, but it’s not like it’s an egregious situation. “I Remember Everything” is *still* hovering in and out of the top 10 on both the Hot 100 and Spotify and could hardly even crack 1200 spins/week on CHR. Meanwhile, the format’s current #1 song isn’t in the top 50 of Spotify and has yet to reach higher than #26 on the Hot 100. It’s a format that’s just increasingly becoming disconnected with the other metrics.

2024 freshmen class is going crazy; Djo, Benson Boone, Teddy Swims and now Artemis pulling out huge hits. And Hozier's success is completely unexpected but deserved, I'm not crazy about Too Sweet like everyone else but I think it's about time he moves past the one hit wonder status. None of those artists are Hip-Hop I don't think XXL is gonna put any them on their 2024 Freshman list. |

Never thought I'd see the day that one from my fellow citizens will get that. Everyone here is in shock (and happy!) with this achievement never seen before. Nobody can believe this. I don't know if thank u TikTok to extend the music and help artist from not so well known countries getting this massive mainstream hits. I remember years ago there always the same countries. |

I know we've had random TikTok tracks blow up in the past, but since UMG pulled their music it feels like we've been getting more no names on the chart? FAST too, like Djo went viral not even 2 months ago and he already reached #11 on the Hot 100. Artemas just blew on streaming and they are gonna be in the Top 25 (probably further if it wasn't for all the album bombs).
