Debut album released on August 13, 2013 by Atlantic Records. Collaborators include Tank, Priscilla Renea (a.k.a. Muni Long), Meek Mill, and Jack Splash. The album peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums. This album soooooo good! Definitely my fave album by far! The red hair she was sporting with reminds me when I was rocking with the red hair around that same time. Love all the songs! So raw, emotional, and relatable. The album title "Rebellious Soul" is just so fitting and I really connect with it. She's pretty much the Queen of Realness. The 90s had Mary J. Blige. The 2000s had Keyshia Cole. The 2010s had K. Michelle. I feel like more singles could have been released, instead, we're stuck with only two. I wish the bonus tracks were on Spotify. Love them too. Fave tracks: My Life Can't Raise A Man V.S.O.P. When I Get A Man Sometimes Ride Out Can't Hate On Her
"V.S.O.P." #89 Hot 100 #27 R&B/Hip Hop "Can't Raise A Man" #94 Hot 100 #23 R&B/Hip Hop #30 Adult R&B

I love this woman so much, she's the real deal. Easily the best R&B act to debut post-2010. If she had come out before R&B music and sales tanked, she could have been a star. There are a few filler-ish tracks to be found (nothing bad), but it's a great debut.
The run of "VSOP," "Pay My Bills," "Sometimes" and "Ride Out" is especially great (enough is not said about those vocals on "Sometimes"). I'm so glad I have the Best Buy version with the bonus tracks because "The Right One" is one of my favs on the album.
