I didn’t think that Stan would be the winner but it is a great winner, Eminem’s best song, and I think that I prefer it over Lose Yourself now, slightly.

5. Work It - Missy Elliott (2): Ahh I know Top 5 is amazing for this but I thought for sure that this would have been in at least the Top 3, possibly Top 2. I'm glad it made it to #5 but dangg I wish it could have made it just a little higher. This song is an absolute CLASSIC and a jam! One of my all-time favorite rap songs and songs from Missy. So good and catchy and I can never get enough of this! Also very happy to see that this song had all of its rankings in the Top half from all of us rankers!

4. The World Is Yours - Nas (30): Ahh okay, this was the one song I didn't want to win so I am not mad to see this show up to miss the Top 3. But yeah this is a cool song and I do like the sound/vibe of this. I also enjoy how Nas raps on this. Far from my favorite from him but it's still a solid and good song.

Love this Top 3! It's my #1 vs. #12 vs. #14

3. Ready Or Not - Fugees (12): This is a great jam and another classic song on here. Love this song as it has such a smooth and cool sound to it. I enjoy what all of the Fugees bring to this song. It's one of my favorites from them and glad to see it make it this far.

2. Gangsta's Paradise - Coolio feat. L.V. (1): Lol now I maybe should have ranked "Ready or Not" a spot lower, so that "Gangsta's Paradise" could have had #2 all to itself without the tie, haha. But ahh dang, soooo close to winning. I'm sad that this couldn't pull off the win but oh well. But yeah obviously with this being my #1, I absolutely love and stan this song. It's iconic and simply a classic. Definitely amongst one of my all-time favorite rap songs. Love all of what Coolio raps here and love the parts from L.V. It's such an intense and insane track! I can never get tired of this. Happy to see this be the song with the 5th lowest SD and no rankings below #26.

1. Stan - Eminem (14): Oooh wow, this was the runaway winner with the 25 point lead over #3 and #2. I don't mind and not against "Stan" winning. This is a really great, strong and meaningful song from Eminem. Love thne story that Eminem raps on here and it's a deep song that can really get to me at times. Also love Dido's singing on the chorus. The music video also tells the story of the song well too. Wow, this song getting all Top 20 ranks (except for that one #39) is really impressive!

Thanks for running another great and successful hip-hop rankdown game, Soulsista! It was SO fun being apart of 7 of these games in this series. It's been such a blast ranking some of my all-time favorite songs and getting introduced to new songs I was not familiar with.

actually pretty surprised with the winner, i thought stan would be tanked a bit more than the rest of the top 5. even as someone who only loves a handful of eminem songs, that one is undeniable.

i expected the world is yours would be my #1 going into this, illmatic is still *the* classic rap album to me & at this point TWIY is my favourite song from it.
