I often cite those live sessions Ariana did for Positions as a great asset for popstars and campaigns like this. Was surprised Sabrina didn't do a bunch a lush, high-concept live performance session in order to boost streaming when needed, highlight her vocal ability in controlled settings etc. I was expecting them during SnS release week tbh.
As pointed out, number one looks like a shut out till Christmas, but a remix/signed merch versions etc. might have gotten this there. I feel like Bruno would have been an obvious choice for an Espresso remix. He's cheeky like her, there'd be something fun to do with the heights of them, he has the vocals, caliber, and is one of the great streaming powers of the last decade.
In any case, this song's longevity is astounding.

Predicted to be 5 points away from #2. This could be the week it finally gets a new peak.

Potential new peak on the H100? And around the half-year anniversary mark…

Potential new peak on the H100? And around the half-year anniversary mark… Billie song is closer than the Post song with the release of the video.

It’s almost like at this point it’s better off not peaking at 2 or 1 on the H100, so it can set records for songs peaking at 3.
I was thinking back to songs peaking at no. 3 and I seem to remember a song in the 80’s that peaked at 3 on the weekly charts but made top ten on the year-end chart. Turns out it was more impressive than that. It peaked at no. 5 on the weekly charts but made it to no. 3 on the year-end chart. It was I Miss You, by Klimax.

There was once a song that went to #16 on the charts and was at #6 on the Year End. It was "Why Me" by Kris Kristofferson, who passed away a few days ago (RIP). This happened because it spent twice as long as just about any other song on that YE.

Peaked at #3 on the weekly charts and #3 on the year-end chart. "If I Ain't Got You" - Peaked at #4 and was #3 on the YE in 2004. That same year, "This Love" was #5 on the charts and #4 on the YE.

I'm so surprised this never hit number 1 on billboard. This felt like THE song of the summer.

holy shit, let this song go! Taste is literally there. This totally reminds me of Camila performing Havana 150 times in 2017-18 or Doja with Say So in 2020-21.

Another Night spent 11 weeks at #3 in the hot 100 in 1994 and 1995, staying in the chart for 45 weeks. It ended up at #6 in the 1995 yearend chart and #63 in the 1994 chart. IIRC this is the best performing #3-peaking song —thus far. And I’ve always loved it :)

Since it was pre-recorded, I wonder what the game plan was to have that performance released at that particular time. Is it to help the song get a higher peak? Is it to keep her/the song in the minds of Grammy voters? Was it just to keep her name out there during the tour? Was there much of plan at all besides just giving the album more promotion?

Yeah, we're in Grammy voting season, started yesterday. Every artist is dropping performances, interviews, making of's right now (the making of "Please Please Please" just dropped yesterday as well).
