She's a really fun artist. She has a great voice when she wants to flex it, but her music usually just fills a fun niche that I enjoy. This song is a nice little bop and I honestly think it could make a wave at radio if she were still on a label. Such a shame she got dropped from Columbia right at the time she got even more exposure with Cowboy Carter because even pre-Beyonce feature she was pulling in great streaming numbers for someone with no push to radio to speak of.

Awe her interview was so endearing! She has such a sweet presence to her. Maybe just me, but I noticed a bit of Mariah Carey in her mannerisms when she talks. Loved the story about her going to the rodeo and ripping her pants, lol. Her performance was solid as well. I stay thinking that "Whiskey Blues" sounds like a hit to my ears. Happy that she's out here growing and gaining her following, even without a label right now.

Ok, so the first time I heard this one, where she says "different sheets" I thought she said "dippin' cheese" like she's sippin her whiskey with some chips and queso... possibly pretzels and beer cheese. I had to look up the lyrics because it didn't quite fit.
