I don’t care how many Rankdowns it wins, but No Tears Left To Cry deserves to win them all. It is that good, one of the best songs of the decade, instant love and that will never change. Ariana has never made anything better. Breathin Jumpscare

Thanks everyone for participating in this rankdown. I'm glad I was able to host the redos for the two years I really wanted to revisit!!!
I won't host any more redos anytime soon, but there are still Hot 100 Year-End Rankdowns that have not been done on this forum yet. So sometime near the end of this month or in August I will open up the 1996 Hot 100 Year-End Rankdown. Hope to see you there!

NTLTC is great but so fucking overrated. Finesse or especially Sicko Mode should've won I fear. But still a great rd as always thx for hosting Lukas!!!
Edit: omg I'm so sorry. Also thx for hosting to Brocka!!!

10. Great song, one of the better songs on the Black Panther soundtrack, yet out of the 3 songs that album got here it's the weakest, go figure. 9. Really good but i'm surprised it made the top 10 at all. 8 and 5. Both good but she has way better. 7. Easily the best song on that album and one of her best songs overall. 6 and 4. Why didn't we let either of these win? It would've been really cool all i'm saying! 3. Ik SZA's part is amazing but can i talk about how deep Kendrick's first verse cuts please? Like jeez dude... 2. A bit overrated and not Bruno's best song but still great. 1. Not her best song, i would've preferred if something else won the rankdown instead of this winning again. But that doesn't make this any less of a deserving winner and any less of a great song. Thanks Brocka and Lukas for hosting! This YE was a lot of fun to rank!

Some songs I thought would've made this YE better I would have ranked Praise Da Lord and High Horse top 10. and Candy Paint is better than any of the Post Malone songs on this list On the other hand, the Lost In Japan Zedd remix, Galway Girl, and Jackie Chan only would've made my bottom half more crowded so, no thanks

Great winner!! I think there is a few songs in the top 10 that shouldn't be there (New Rules, Finesse, Pray For Me) but overall pretty decent. Thanks for hosting Lukas and Private Dancer!

Catching up on what I've missed (which seems to be the end of the rankdown).
20. Cardi B, Bad Bunny & J Balvin - I Like It (6): Oooh yess, I'm so glad to see this improve from its OG ranking and make it to the Top 20! I really love this song and it's such a hot, fire jam from Cardi B & crew. I remember hearing this song so much in 2018 and never got tired of it. Yay for no Bottom 12 ranks.
19. 5 Seconds Of Summer - Youngblood (13): Aww sad to see this song drop from its OG ranking. I do really love this song and think it's a great pop/rock song. Another catchy song that was always in my head. And this is also by far my favorite song from 5 Seconds Of Summer. Happy to see no Bottom 15 ranks.
18. Childish Gambino - This Is America (79): While this song has never been a favortie of mine, this is still an objective good song with a powerful message to it. Not surprised with how well this did hear.
17. N*E*R*D & Rihanna - Lemon (49): Nicee at the 12 spot increase. But oh wow, 9th highest SD kinda surprises me as I didn't think this song would be that polarizing. This is a smooth jam and I like the vibe/groove of this and what both artists bring here.
16. Portugal. The Man - Feel It Still (38): This is such a cool, fun and funky kind of song. I really like the upbeat and old school feel of this song. It's never been a huge favorite from me but still always really liked it.
15. Khalid & Normani - Love Lies (10): Oooh yess, love this song a lot. Glad to see that this moved on from its OG ranking. I love the smooth style of this song as well as Khalid & Normani's smooth vocals.
14. Miguel Featuring Travis Scott - Sky Walker (71): This is okay but it's not a song that has done much for me before. But it's goode here.
13. Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Future & James Blake - King's Dead (73): I like this and what all of the artist bring to the song. Or maybe not Future's part, hahaha.
12. Camila Cabello Featuring Young Thug - Havana (5): Ughh dang it, this was one of my favorites of the year and I was hoping to see it make the Top 10 again. It's a bummer to see this just miss out. :'( Love this song! It's a fun, flirty hot jam that suits Camila perfectly and she sells it so well. My favorite song of hers and I can never get tired of it. Very happy that there are no Bottom 20 ranks for this.
11. Ariana Grande - God Is A Woman (26): Aww at this song just missing making the Top 10. I'm not too upset about it as I do prefer most of the songs in the Top 10 over this (8 out of 10 - so I would have liked for this to beat out my #35 or #43). This is a beautiful, haunting and powerful song. Love the hypnotizing sound of it and Ariana's vocals are great as always here.
Remaining spots of my Top 10: 2, 4, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 25, 35, 43.
Yeah this is a pretty solid Top 10. Glad to see 8 out of 10 of my Top 25 make it through to the Top 10. Though def rooting for my #2 or #4 to win.
10. The Weeknd & Kendrick Lamar - Pray For Me (21): Aww didn't want to see this be the first song to drop out of the Top 10 but still happy to see this making the Top 10 again. This is a great collaboration from The Weeknd & Kendrick and I do love this song.
9. Ella Mai - Boo'd Up (25): Love this song and happy to see this increase its ranking and make it to the Top 10. This is just so good, so smooth and soulful. Love Ella's voice on this. Yay for no Bottom 15 ranks for this.
8. Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa - One Kiss (18): Love this song too and very happy with its +6 spot increase into the Top 10. This is such a fun, catchy and hypnotic dance song. I get that it has a repetitive sound to it but I don't care as I do still love this. I'm also probably in the unpopular opinion of preferring this (just slightly) over "New Rules" and not surprised to see this show up first. lol wow at my ranking helping this move up from #3 to #2. :o
7. Taylor Swift - Delicate (43): Yay this is my lowest ranking song of this Top 10 so I'm fine with this showing up now. No surprises that this made it to the Top 10 and I do get it and can't fault it. This is a definitely slow burn type of song from Taylor. I wasn't too huge on this at first but it did slowly grow on me the more I heard it. Still not one of my very favorites from Taylor but I do still really enjoy it. Ooh wow I didn't expect a #96 rank for this. :o
6. Travis Scott - Sicko Mode (35): Whoaaa at this song getting 9 #1s. And 6 #2s. Dangg that is seriously impressive. :o Though sad to accomplish that and still miss out making the Top 5. But I guess that's what tends to happen with rap songs. I do really like this and think this is a real cool song. It's my lowest remaining rank so I'm fine with this missing the Top 5.
Oooh I cleared out most of my Bottom half of this Top 10. This is a great Top 5! Top 5 remaining spots: 2, 4, 19, 22, 23.
5. Dua Lipa - New Rules (19): Top 5 is great for this but I am surprised this didn't make it slightly higher. I thought for sure this would have come in like 2nd or 3rd, but I'm not complaining abojut it. This is a really fun, great and catchy song that help make Dua popular. Love this from her though I love other songs more from her. Yay for no Bottom 25 ranks!
4. Drake - Nice For What (22): Ahh it's so refreshing seeing Drake do really well in a rankdown as I feel like that's rare to see. I do love this and think this is a great song. I LOVE the sample and how he raps on this and just the overall feel of it. I'm sad I couldn't rank it higher but glad to see it in the Top 5 once again. This was also my favorite release of 2018, just slightly over "God's Plan" and "In My Feelings" so I'm happy this ranked the highest.
3. Kendrick Lamar & SZA - All The Stars (23): Ooh wow, I totally thought this was going to get 2nd over "Finesse" but I got no complaints here! I do really love this song and am pleased with it making it this far. This is such a great and strong song/collabo from Kendrick and SZA. I love what they both bring to the song as they both shine here. Amazing that this did not get any Bottom 40 rankings! :o
Wow I am very shocked that it's down to my #2 vs #4. LOVEE both songs and would be happy with no matter what wins. Still gonna root for my #2 more.
2. Bruno Mars & Cardi B - Finesse (4): Oooh nicee, I reallly love this song a ton! Lovee the throwback 90s feel of this and Bruno can just do no wrong with this style of song. He slays on this song. I also really love Cardi on here and she slays it here too. Such a fun, infectious and catchy jam! I didn't know this was #2 last time but glad it stayed consistent staying at #2 again. Though it's also funny how this finished 2nd with no #2 rankings, lol. Dangg, if not for that #80, this could have had all of its ranks in the Top 50. :( But yay for no Bottom 20 ranks, at least.
1. Ariana Grande - No Tears Left To Cry (2): 7 #1s and 8 #2s is really impressive for this song. I know repeat winners can be boring but I don't mind them if they are songs I really love and want to see win, which applies to this song. I absolutely love and adore this song so much. It's so fun, catchy and it has that sweet angelic feel to it. I love Ariana's voice on this and how she uses her range here. I just love everything about this. It's also still my favorite song from her. Yayy for no Bottom 40 ranks for this!
Oooh nicee that my rankdown closeness ranking moved up to #35 and with a 24.16 score. That's not too bad there. I wish I had more than 1 perfect rank but oh well.
This was a really fun rankdown to be apart of. Thank you so much for hosting this, Private Dancer and Lukas!
