It's really so satisfying seeing Please Please Please outperform expectations so far, especially after so many of you were saying it'd somehow jeopardize Espresso's run (I truly never understood that perspective, but whatever).

It seems like not only has it not jeopardized Espresso's run, it's actually boosted its numbers considerably, I imagine likely because people who weren't put on to Sabrina outside of Espresso and were probably getting tired of the song, gave Please Please Please a try and are now circling back to Espresso.

Also, how inspiring is it that her forthcoming album is her SIXTH album and is the album that's garnering all these breakout hits?! A lesson to never give up regardless of the circumstances. 

Congratulations, Sabrina! 👏👏👏 It's fun to have another pop girlie in the bag.

so happy for Sabrina, she deserves this, but still not sold on the song, and I really think it'd barely debut in the top 40 if released instead of Espresso. Also, I'm still not convinced PPP will be a huge hit based on its first-week numbers, since I totally expected for LUNCH to be a monster hit because of those constant increases during the opening week (peak streams: 3.64M US; 12.16M WW), and it's already out of the top 10.

These last two months are really unpredictable, so it wouldn't be a shock if PPP reaches #1 before Espresso lol.
