He said that "Second Chance" was the No.1 song at Casey's last countdown [American Top 20 (Hot AC)] show of July 4, 2009 before signing off for retirement.

He accurately repeated the Casey's intro to the No.1 song "Second Chance" of that day and said that Shinedown uses the sound of such intro by Casey Kasem in their live shows.

• Last week, Ryan said that "Stick Season" by Noah Kahan dropped from #1 to #6, which is the biggest drop from #1 (so far) this decade.
So, what is the biggest fall ever from #1 on the Hot AC chart? "Stick Season" may be one of the biggest.
I found several songs which dropped from #1 to #4, and am still checking the past charts of Hot AC shows.

Before then, "All For Love" by Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart and Sting dropped from #1 to #6 on the Radio & Records February 11, 1994 CHR chart.

You have a typo there Upland. Casey's last show before his retirement was July 4th, 2009. He passed away in 2014; ten years ago last weekend.

By the way, Brent Smith did an outstanding job as a guest host. [His dedication to Casey Kasem was awesome sauce.] He came off very natural and polished. If that rock thing of his doesn't work out, he has a future in broadcasting.
