Definitely not comparable to Lil Nas X, but I'd argue that he is higher than those artists due to sheer volume. For example, he didn't have any song cross 1 million streams daily last week on Spotify... Plus, For All The Dogs has been descending the charts since this beef started.

I still think it's exaggerated that Drake will be hurt by this beef, but I do feel like even before this beef, we started to see less Drake dominance than usual. I'm guessing that is totally normal for any artist.

Also, I keep forgetting that this is the same forum that's been calling every Drake album since Scorpion a flop. CLB/Her Loss/For All the Dogs are all flops according to some of you on here.
Y'all are never to be taken seriously when it comes to your takes about that man/his career and that seems to be something I'll just have to accept.

The Drake feature flopping is just another evidence that Camila isn't gonna get any commercial love with this project.

For Drake it's another Friday. The beef he lost for sure, but he has no active project right now. He'll be fine when he drops his next album. I don't think Kendrick killed Drake's career just like I don't expect the hits Kendrick got out of the beef to translate into him getting automatic multiple smashes on his next album again.

I am interested to see how this beef does affect Drake's career. I don't think it killed it, but I will say Kendrick has effectively made liking Drake "uncool" in ways. Like I routinely see his fans being eaten up/ostracized on social media. Then again, Taylor's fans are treated the same way yet she is more successful than ever so ...?

I feel like so many of the posts in here are focused on CHARTS (I mean, it's a chart thread, haha). But this is hip-hop. And these beefs are about legitimacy. The best MC, the hottest bars, the culture, etc. Drake got his ass handed to him. And to genuine hip-hop heads and to rap lovers, he absolutely took a hit. Now does this translate to the general public? Probably not. But he definitely lost cool points as you put it. Commercially, he's gonna be fine, but don't think for a second he didn't feel those blows.
