In regards to Charli, I don’t think there are any songs as “big” as GLB or HTG, but I think their are more overall hits …like 4 or 5 off Brat than CR currently has lined up. Both good artists so whatever.

Chappell’s album is full of potential hits. Charli’s is not close in that regard, I wouldn’t say. Both of these ladies are taking a more album oriented approach which is really working. Hope we see more of that in the near future.

not to derail the thread too much but i think rise and fall of a midwest princess is a really interesting case because on one hand, you're absolutely right that it's jam packed full of great, memorable songs that are resonating with the public and have radio hit upside. on the other hand, it's not a particularly cohesive album (besides a couple moments like coffee -> casual musically and picture you -> kaleidoscope lyrically) and with a couple exceptions, the half of the album that HASN'T caught on with the public is just. really mid. for every red wine supernova, there's an after midnight; for every casual there's a kaleidoscope; for every pink pony club there's a guilty pleasure (which genuinely might be worse then the jojo siwa song of the same name -- at minimum that one sounds more professional). i do like california though

anyways i. personally don't rly get the appeal of apple (at least musically) and really hope this doesn't get cannibalized by it :0

I doubt it. "Apple" is getting unsolicited radio airplay so far, while this is the current track being pushed by the label, so I don't think they will hurt each other for now.

^ If anything I think it might even end up being similar to what's happening with "Good Luck, Babe!" and "HOT TO GO!" where the artist has enough momentum to have two songs rising at the same time.
