At this point let the Katycats take a W, no matter how small it is lol. The album dropped, Luke is on it, etc... there's no changing that. Let's just hope for better things in her future and for her creative process. Call the people that did Short n Sweet by Sabrina, Katy. Even a droplet era like Selena did before Rare, test the waters... the sky is the limit now that there's no commercial expectations to be met.

Congrats on the top 40!!! It's nice to see this actually gaining even this moderate traction, as of the songs on 143 it really deserves it!

On a side note: I just am curious where all this fervor for Jennifer Lopez and for all these other artists who get routinely shi*ted on here on Pulse all the time and have throughout history given this isn't a fansite for "praise only"? Why is Katy this exception? And that's coming from someone who actually loves this single and wants it to do well. I understand the notion of "ruining the fun" for fans who have a certain tolerance for negativity, but when has that ever been a presedent followed here? 😂 Like sure, if this is applicable here, let's just make it across the board when the negativity for any artist reaches a certain threshold deemed intolerable by fans.

I think JLo was just doing unlikable and unrelatable shit a lot towards the start of the year around that documentary she did so new arguments and discussions grew out of it, meanwhile Katy dropped her album and more or less went away already so it's really very little to discuss that's really new, and beating Katycats again with the same points is just not giving any meaningful discussion anymore.

I did try to argue once on the JLo thread that maybe JLo herself had to work on her likability issues and they got my ass, so careful going into that thread lol.

This is exactly what the potential problem with catering to fans will be on a non-fansite open forum. How much "negativity" (which, a lot of super fans at least, literally equate to any and all percievably negative cristisim, disagreement of opinion, or accountability) is too much, when most fans have very little tolerance for anything but glowing responses? It's going to impede general discussion A LOT. People would not be having it and as they shouldn't, as they should be allowed to express themselves within rules and guidelines IMO negative or positive and we should all be free to openly agree/disagree without mitigating potential criticism. 😂 And before someone misconstrues my post and assumes I'm simply trying to encourage "hate" for Katy (cause I just have a feeling that's coming), it's not about Katy specifically at all, but about the idea of fan-moderated discussion in general.

Anyway, don't let my response throw any of you off topic just find this topic of discussion genuinely interesting! Sorry for being long-winded as always. 😂
