Aside from I'd like to know the source regarding 'US radio' being the bearer of this release date, does this mean that 'Lifetimes' was indeed just a buzz track/distraction from the bombing of 'Woman's World'?

Or is this yet another scramble because 'Lifetimes' was meant to be single #2, then bombed even harder so they relegated it to buzz track so they could tout this as the 'true' second single?

I’m not surprised this is next with the sample and the video existing. I would definitely consider Lifetimes a buzz single rather than an official single given it had no push on radio, or anywhere except her social media since release

‘Lifetimes’ screams promo single. Never pushed to radio, last minute video put together, most likely to serve as a distraction from WW. We know this already has a MV filmed and it looked to be more thought out, budgeted than ‘Lifetimes’ was. If I were to guess, it was always the plan to release this as a single close to the album release. They probably didn’t expect WW to bomb so they rushed out ‘Lifetimes’ in the meantime.

They filmed the video for this song before Lifetimes, so I don't think Lifetimes was meant to be a single, just a random promo track with 15$ budget video. That probably would've changed if the song did something, but since it didn't...

This is my point though lmao! Nothing has been communicated by the label or anyone! If this was always meant to be single #2 and 'Lifetimes' just an intermediary, nobody told us that! But setting up a track with its own dedicated cover art and music video, plus announcing its release date with decent lead time all sounds like setup for an actual single release, but again - we were never told what the actual purpose of 'Lifetimes' was!

The way the bag has been fumbled OVER. AND OVER. AGAIN. This era needs to be preserved as a 'what not to do' case study.

Well, that source screams fake from the very beginning because we haven't had a list of US radio future releases for months, so it would be weird that, out of nowhere, there is one with this song.

Regarding "Lifetimes", it's a single (at least, overseas for now) because it's currently playlisted by BBC Radio 2 on their B-list. I'm not sure which are their plans for the US, but I assume there should be another single to be sent to radio, whether it's "Lifetimes" close to the release of the album or another one (possibly this one if it's taken into consideration that there's already a video that has been filmed).

Genuine question then: What is the “coming soon” section of the weekly Sunday Published Updates in the Mediabase CHR/Pop Top 50 thread? Is it not always correct about upcoming releases? Where does that info come from?

The 'coming soon' section has a disclaimer on top, which says the following: 'subject to change, since some don't get pushed to pop'. Also, there's not any release date and/or impact date given. That said, any more questions you have, you could ask directly to 70jack90 because they're the one who publishes the chart with the information in that thread.

Yeah, I don't think their list means much of actual substance. Example - Beyoncé's "Freedom" has been listed there for weeks and obviously that's not getting a radio push anytime soon.

Lifetimes was clearly a last second promotional single. No radio impact dates. Plus it basically got a "visualizer" which is a half-strung together almost live music video without a budget. 100% to distract from WW.

Even if it was meant as a distraction and buzz single, I think it was a misfire. When was the last time a buzz single successfully created hype for an era? And anyone who heard it or saw the video thought it was gonna do much? Eh. This entire project kinda fits that bill tho. Some group of people heard and saw everything and said hey we got an album here.
