I really hope some way some how that DWAS, Taste, and BOAF all get at least a week in at #1 over the next month or two. It would be one of the best strings of hot 100 #1s of all time if they were consecutive. One of them needs to make it at the very least, would be a travesty to have 3 such amazing smashes and have them all miss. And I will officially turn on ABS and hate it if it spends like 16+ weeks and is what blocks them all lol.

So excited for The Weeknd’s new album Hurry Up Tomorrow, love the cover. Already pre-ordered the vinyl, couldn’t help it. Hope he can really smash even for his standards and really excited to hear what he does with it given everything going on and what he has already done.
and of course this news that Kendrick is doing the Super Bowl…. Amazing…. And for him to give that slick “no round 2” response to Drake in the announcement, omg.. Hahaha!
I am also excited for A$AP Rocky’s album, all three singles are really good, especially Highjack and Ruby Rosary. But I do have to wonder how well commercially he can really do with it.

I wouldn't be disappointed if none of them reach it, not all great songs need to reach #1 (I'm not crazy about any of them anyway), and Sabrina already has a #1 with another song this year. I like it when there's a mixture of many lower-week #1's and a couple of 8-10+ weekers that dominate each year. A Bar Song definitely is one of the latter, though as big as it is, it doesn't really feel that big, though how well it will be remembered after its chart run remains to be seen. It kind of reminds me of 24kGoldn's Mood, which was a highly dominant, cross-format smash with a very lengthy chart run, but still seemed to come and go with very little remembrance today.

Honestly with Heat Waves being #1 instead of As It Was and now Teddy Swims likely beating Shaboozey the YE just feels so irrrelevant The tracking period is just not it.. |

I really hope some way some how that DWAS, Taste, and BOAF all get at least a week in at #1 over the next month or two. It would be one of the best strings of hot 100 #1s of all time if they were consecutive. One of them needs to make it at the very least, would be a travesty to have 3 such amazing smashes and have them all miss. And I will officially turn on ABS and hate it if it spends like 16+ weeks and is what blocks them all lol. Yeah, I am also hoping to see Die With A Smile reach #1. I thought Good Luck, Babe! and Birds of a Feather could follow it. That's what I would like to see most. Just doesn't look likely especially for birds and babe which are nearing their peaks in airplay. Would need a remix of some kind along with a video. Something to boost streaming numbers |

I'm really excited for The Weeknd, and can't wait to hear the new music! NGL also a little nervous, given the underperformance of The Dawn FM. One Right Now, Die For You, and Creepin were hits, but the success of his next album is nowhere guaranteed. This might be a career make or break, of whether he'll continue to strengthen his reign as one of the biggest male pop stars of our time, or start to fade into obscurity.

Dancing in the Flames made me cry, it's so good. This is gonna be a massive single. I'm so happy he didn't lead with Wake Me Up, would've been a mistake after Take My Breath's underperformance.
