Die For You is a song from his prime from years ago. Not a recent single off a newer studio album. Really not sure how you're not grasping this Also don't call me "girl". I'm not female or gay Offended over being called "girl" in a general context, wow that's sad. Is "Running Up That Hill" not a 2022 hit despite being released in the 80s? I don't think so. "Die For You" was a #1 hit on the Hot 100 in 2023. Not if, ands, old, new, whatever. It's not sad bud, you just sound goofy calling a grown ass man girl over the internet. Running Up That Hill is the perfect example to prove my point so thanks for that lol. Kate Bush has really caught fire and dropped new hits since that right? Oh wait, its an old song from her prime from years ago.

Running Up That Hill's peak in 1985: #30 | Running Up That Hill's Peak in 2022: #3. Hmmm I wonder what year it was bigger in and would be considered a hit? Stop acting dense. Nobody expected Kate Bush to get another hit after that considering she hasn't dropped music. Is Cruel Summer not a 2023 hit despite being released in 2019? Lmao NO! Thankfully the Weeknd has two more big hits since Die For You - Popular and One of the Girls, both with 1 billion streams on Spotify. No matter what you've got, you're wrong. Like you haven't said anything right in this entire thread. All of this being started because you wanted to troll and say The Weeknd has no hits since "Save Your Tears" which just isn't true, thankfully you've admitted that since. Then you started making up rules because you realized you were wrong, it needs to be a solo hit, it can't be an international hit because having a hit in more countries than just the US is terrible and not good, then it was a hit can only be songs that spend months in the top 10, then it was a song can't be boosted by radio, then it was synthpop songs don't count as hits, then it was a song that was released a few years ago and hits later on can't be a hit (this literally happens several times each year lmao). If we put all of these barriers on songs, then literally no songs ever are considered hits.

Scrapped Idol soundtrack had 2 singles that got a crap load of streams internationally yet even with radio, didn't make the top 40 in the US. My entire point is he has fallen off commercially compared to just a few years ago. That is evident going from 3 no. 1 hits/400k debuts to being outsold by B list rappers struggling to hit 150k. This debuted at 77...like wut.

Just re-read your own posts throughout this entire thread. You can acknowledge that The Weeknd's career isn't as strong as After Hours era without making up lies about what songs are hits. None of this would have been a discussion if you didn't just come in with NOBODY ELSE talking about whether or not if he has hits after SYT or not, but you purposely came in here to start something and troll, something you have yet to acknowledge. I would even agree with you that his career is likely on a decline, but you cannot ackowledge anything that I'm saying without an excuse or a lie, it makes anything you're saying go completely out the window.

If you would stop steaming out your ears you'd realize that i said Creepin was the exception. I said he hasn't had BIG hits other than that. Like cool, peaking in the 50's on Billboard and going top 20 on Pop radio is a hit i guess. It just isn't up to his standard and for whatever odd reason people think it is now.

Because the US is the vast majority of the music market unless you're a K-Pop group. I responded to exactly what you said i'm just tired of having to repeat myself.
