She's got like three more single choices on this album that are no-brainers IMO. This is definitely one of them. It seems like streaming/radio has spoken.

Why do I feel that espresso will still be a hit when this explodes?

Can they abandon Taste and make this the new single? This is way better IMO.

Looks like they're going with this after all. "Bed Chem" is already getting a couple of Pop adds this week, which are really significant to be honest, so I'm going ahead and moving this thread here. Yaaaaass! Leeeezzzz gooooo!

Can they abandon Taste and make this the new single? This is way better IMO. Absolutely not. You don't just dump an out-the-gate smash. 'Taste' has been an instant streaming hit and is charging up radio. There is no reason why Sabrina can't get away with both of these building at the same time.

She's the hottest pop star in the world right now and is on track for touring stadiums within the next year for sure, she's huge on AM which is usually leans towards hip-hop but they have a place for pop and that place is Sabrina Carpenter.

I know people were hesitant to compare SnS to 1989 or Teenage Dream but damn - she's about to get her 4th hit effortlessly with this.

This is going to be interesting to see honestly. Republic is one of the few labels that can make the same artist to have multiple radio hits without killing their other songs at the same time. Although "Bed Chem" is technically not the next single, but it's the one that streaming and few radio stations are jumping on it, it's not hard to expect that Island will go with this because of the aforementioned. Also, "Espresso" and "Please Please Please" already reached atop (the former is having a slightly resurgence because the latter peaked two weeks ago) and "Taste" has made the Top 20 on Pop recently, so if this begins to build and enters the Top 50 in the next days and/or weeks, the rest will be history.

Can they abandon Taste and make this the new single? This is way better IMO. as i said before they could push this to Rhythmic. i don't think Taste will do well there and Please Please Please never charted .

Please Please Please is currently Top 50 on Rhythmic (without a bullet). -- With the high she's on, Taste and this can rise together.

Please Please Please is currently Top 50 on Rhythmic (without a bullet). That's the All Stations panel. It's not top 50 where it counts.

It absolutely 100% would be one of those eras if the modern streaming era wasn’t the way it is. I’m still hesitant to say it’s possible today, but if it is this is the album. Before 2015ish or so, there would have been 5 #1s here bare minimum. Maybe even as many as 7.

I really think she can carry on with this, Good Graces, and Juno and they all be successful. This looks like it could become the biggest era for singles this decade. What would you say currently carries that title? Sour, Planet Her, Justice, Midnights?

None of those others pulled more than 3 top 5s on the format. 5 top 5s on CHR for SNS is an absolute lock atp unless they don’t release a 5th single or inexplicably go with one of the few songs that don’t have much radio potential, like Don’t Smile. I honestly hear 7 CHR #1s on this album + another easy top 5 if this were like older times. But we’ll see how many radio hits you can pull from an era in the 2020s.

What's the record for most #1 CHR singles from one era? Teenage Dream with six #1 singles. EDIT: That's six from the main album. It would be seven for the era which would include "Wide Awake."

Rhythm Nation was also only two #2 peakers away from 7 #1s on CHR from the original album (and an 8th top 4). In a pre-streaming era, I would play this era like this: 4. Bed Chem 5. Juno 6. Sharpest Tool 7. Good Graces 8. Coincidence I think there would be a shot of replicating RN’s 7 top 2s/8 top 4s record with that. Maybe even all except Coincidence going #1. Of course, I just don’t see how an 8 single era is at all possible today unfortunately.
